Instead of rescue of the week I thought I’d post something a little different. This is lovely Belle who is apart of blood donor program. Like humans, dogs sometimes require blood donations for things like major blood loss, bait poisoning or IMHA. Blood donors are literal life savers, so if your canine pal fits the criteria below contact VSOS for further information on how your pooch can become a superhero! Your pooch will receive a full free blood test, free vet check and so many cuddles and kisses 🤍

Between 1-7 years old
Above 20kg body weight
Up to date with vaccinations and prophylactic treatments (tick, flea & worming)
No ongoing medical issues

rescue of the week: Freddy
6 month old DSH
Can Freddy be the gal of your dreams?
She loves to play and zoom around; she’s gentle when playing with your hand; loves to climb (couch, chair, cat tree…); she follows you around and literally leans against you while you are cooking/brushing teeth/relaxing and loves to try to catch the arrow on the computer screen. Loves to hunt flys; She always uses her litter and has never tried to destroy anything in the house.
Freddy gets along very well with school aged kids and other cats
She is desexed, vaccinated, flead and wormed as well as microchipped. Contact firefly animal rescue for more info 🤍

RESCUE OF THE WEEK
Every week I will be posting an fur baby who is available for adoption. Today that fur baby is my foster boy Nyx

6 month old big boy. Desexed and vaccinated.
Nyx is a big cuddle bug. He absolutely adores people and is great with dogs of all sizes. He has such a sweet and gentle soul and just wants a warm bed to spend his nights in. Nyx doesn’t need much exercise before he is buggered. He likes to curl up on the lounge all day and sleep. He is best suited to a home that has indoor access as he loves to be around people. He is very tolerant of his foster brother (a border collie) who is similar in age but 100x the energy. He will grow to be a big boy as he is already 30kgs and doesn’t quite understand how big he is so a home without young kids would be best for him. He isn’t a chewer but he is a toilet water drinker so bathroom door must be shut at all times🤣
If I could keep him I 10000% would. He is everything you want in a dog plus more. Contact country companion animal rescue for more info
