Dr Romy the Roaming Vet ( as seen on ABC's Creature Features) provides a full range of veterinary services, covering the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, and other areas by arrangement. Services include vaccinations, health checks, nutrition, complex medical problems, home euthanasia, and behaviour management. Romy has been in practice for over 12 years, and her mobile practice is the largest in Sydney.

We have several cats who are on a weight loss program at the moment and I thought a chart to assess healthy body condition might help. Just like us there is no right answer to ‘ how much should my cat weigh?’ IDEAL WEIGHT
From above - a waist between the rib cage and hips
From the side - gently slope upwards from the rib cage to the back legs
FEEL - with a light touch you should be able to make out the spine and outline of the last few ribs, and the individual vertebrae from head to toe. If you are unsure please book an appointment and we are happy to advise in person 😊
