💛 R U OK? Day 💛

Today we came together for R U OK? Day, a day that reminds us how powerful a simple question can be.

Working in the veterinary world is full of love, but it can also be emotionally heavy. People often imagine we spend our days snuggling puppies and kittens (and yes, we’re lucky to share those moments) — but there are also hard days, heartbreaking goodbyes, and challenges that can weigh on us deeply.

That’s why checking in with each other matters. A kind word, a listening ear, or simply asking “Are you OK?” can make all the difference.

Let’s keep looking out for each other — not just today, but every day. 💛🐾

This gorgeous Shetland Sheepdog puppy bounded into the clinic full of beans for his very first visit with Dr Michelle! 💕

Fergus was such a brave boy for his puppy vaccination – with plenty of treats and cuddles, he barely noticed a thing. 🦴✨

We can already tell this little fluffball has a big personality (and an even bigger fan club)! 💛

Emergency vets at our sister site ARH Gosford are currently treating a number of patients for tick paralysis.

Dr Natashia Evans, Emergency and Critical Care Specialist, ARH Gosford “Ticks are out in force and pets should be protected all year round.

“We’re seeing cases of pets who have lapsed treatment by one or two days, make sure you have your reminders set. Even giving your pet their prevention treatment, a couple of days early will ensure that they’re continually protected."

Make sure your pets are up to date with their parasite prevention, check your pets daily for ticks and if you do find one contact your nearest vet.

🐾 Check out this little cutie! 🐾

This tiny ringtail possum joey was brought into one of our fellow Greencross clinics after being found all alone without her mum. 💔

Our amazing nurse Holly took her home for round-the-clock care until a licensed wildlife carer could step in to look after her until she’s big and strong enough to be released back into the wild. 🌿✨

👉 If you ever come across a possum joey on its own:
✅ Keep it warm and safe in a dark, quiet place (a beanie, pouch, or box with soft fabric works well).
✅ Do not try to feed it, as the wrong food can make them very sick.
✅ Contact your local vet clinic or wildlife rescue organisation (such as WIRES or Sydney Wildlife) for immediate help.

Together, we can give little ones like this the best chance at returning to their natural home. 💚

🌟 Adoption Update! 🌟

Our beautiful Chilli girl has finally found her forever home! 🐱💖 After spending months at the clinic being overlooked, last week she met her perfect family – and it couldn’t be a better match.

Chilli has settled in like a queen. She’s discovered the joys of catnip, claimed the bed for her naps, and soaks up the sunshine from her hammock like she was always meant to be there. 🌞✨

We’re so grateful this special girl was given the chance to show her true colours – and she’s thriving! 🥰

🌟 Chilli’s Weekend Getaway Update! 🌟

Our spicy girl Chilli had a little break out of the clinic this weekend… and wow, did she surprise us, let’s just say… she left her sass at the door! 😸 🐾

Chilli has always been known for politely telling people when she’s “done” with a gentle paw tap or cheeky nibble. Some might say her cattitude has put a few people off, but this weekend she showed us a whole new side. 💕

In a relaxed home environment, Chilli was absolutely glowing – head bopping, leg rubbing (all on her terms of course), snoozing peacefully and even snuggling up on the bed. 🛏️🐱

We know that once she finds her perfect match, Chilli will prove herself to be the most loyal and loving companion. 💖

Kai was found dumped in a box on a doorstep – cold, confused, and alone. But how could anyone say no to this little face?

Thankfully, a kind member of the public brought him to us, and this sweet boy has been soaking up love ever since. He spent his first few days in care getting spoiled by our nurses and quickly made himself right at home.

Kai is full of personality – a perfect mix of sweet, cheeky, and playful. He’s confident, curious, and has had no issues sharing space with other cats and even dogs!

Fierce, fabulous, and full of spice, this independent girl rules her kingdom (aka the clinic) with a flick of her tail and a sparkle in her eye.

Her devoted servants (also known as our nurses 😅) cater to her every whim — delivering toys, treats, and chin scratches when Her Highness deems them acceptable.

She’s bold. She’s playful. She’s affectionate on her terms — and when she chooses you, it’s the ultimate honour. 💛

Chilli is FIV positive, which means she needs to be an indoor-only cat. She can be your one-and-only royal companion or live with another cat who is vaccinated against FIV or has FIV

Say hello to Bentley Dennis! 🐶💙

This handsome little heartbreaker had his very first vet visit today — and let’s just say… the clinic staff are now officially obsessed. 😍

With those puppy-dog eyes and charming little face, Bentley had Dr Nicole wrapped around his paw in seconds! He passed his check-up with flying colours and took his vaccination like a total pro. 🩺✨

But here’s the million-dollar question…

😺 Meet Lemon, Cheato & Bronte – Ready for Adoption! 🏡
These three adorable siblings had a rough start to life, but thanks to the incredible care of Nurse Louisa, they’re thriving and now on the lookout for their forever homes 💕

🛻 Found at just 2 weeks old in a car yard, Bronte was brought in first. A few hours later, Lemon and Cheato joined her, and the next day their sibling Cruiz was found (already adopted at our recent adoption day 🎉).

👩‍⚕️ Raising four bottle babies is no small task – especially with two kids of her own! But Nurse Louisa gave them all the love and care they needed to grow into the happy, healthy kittens they are today.

Each one has their own special personality:

🐾 What a Successful Day! 🐾

Our recent cat adoption day was a huge success — we’re thrilled to share that seven of our cats and kittens 🐱 found their forever homes 🏡💖! That’s an incredible achievement and a testament to all the hard work and love poured into the event.

A big thank you to The Dex Effect 🙌 for joining us on the day, and to everyone who stopped by to show support, gave our kitties some love 💕, treats 🍖, and of course — to those who adopted! 🥰

We still have several adorable cats and kittens 🐈 looking for their forever families. You can visit them Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm 🕗.
