Polyester is the material that almost all marine ropes are made from and is the outer material used in climbing ropes to protect them from abrasion. Polyester is even used in high tech spectra rope to protect the rope from UV damage. Polyester is less abrasive on the skin compared to other materials used in some cheaper ropes, meaning there is less chance of rope burn or abrasion on your horses skin and your hands! Combined with a comfortable weight in your hand, the rope I use is perfect for all natural horsemanship techniques. Once Knotted, polyester rope holds the knot tightly but can always be untied if needed. Cheaper materials used by other manufacturers, like webbing or halter cords will harden, fade and turn to powder with age, whereas Polyester rope will not! Ensuring you get many years of service out of your rope tack. Water will not damage this rope, in fact you can wash it in mild detergent and it will come up like new! Cheap polypropylene halter cords and webbing have a much lower breaking strain (about 30% - 50% less) and lose another 30% per year through age. Polyester ropes lose only 3% per year, so if you are after a hard wearing rope halter that will last many years, then my items are what you need! :)
My halter rope has a breaking strain of up to 1000kg, and my 12mm lead or rein rope has up to 2200kg breaking strain!!! Will Post anywhere in Australia.. I use Prepaid 500gram postage bags ($6.60) and can fit up to four in one bag.. any orders over four items, i will use the 3kg prepaid postage bag ($10.20)
