We have arrived to the Royal Adelaide Show - yes we are a little crazy.

After making the huge trip to a very successful EKKA, to then delivering 20 head of Australian Lowlines to Oberon & Gunnedah we have now arrived at Adelaide.

Cann Valley Volcanic Eruption (R) & Cann Valley Variety (RC) are representing the Australian Lowline Breed.

We have also been lucky enough to prepare some beautiful Dexters for Carragheen & Dun ‘N’ Rusted Dexters.

Judging will all be over by the afternoon.

Cann Valley Venus Moon (AI) (ET) pictured at 15.5 months old.

She is an absolutely stunning young female who certainly appears to be shaping up to her famous full sibling - Cann Valley New Moon.

She was recently crowned Junior Champion Female at the 2025 Royal Brisbane Show to only be beat for Grand Champion by her maternal sister - Cann Valley Super Moon.

A big future ahead for Venus.

We are super happy with this Bull Calf!

Whats even more exciting is that he is the first calf from Grand Champion Sire -Cann Valley Sir Ulysses and I can already see the similarities.

Out of our great producing dam - Rotherwood Radiant Girl (RC)

Plenty of length in this guy and one that looks like he will just keep growing.

Makes us very excited to be able to collect Sir Ulysses at the end of the year to send semen worldwide!

A Clean Sweep at EKKA for Cann Valley & Rotherwood Studs!

What an unforgettable debut for Cann Valley and Rotherwood Studs at EKKA — taking out all champion and reserve titles, along with both Interbreed crowns.

It was our first time exhibiting at EKKA, and the experience exceeded every expectation.

We were then absolutely thrilled when Cann Valley Super Moon and Cann Valley Sir Ulysses went on to win both Interbreed titles — a particularly proud moment, especially knowing that it’s been 13 years since a Lowline female has claimed an Interbreed win!

A special highlight was exhibiting Dexter female Carragheen Up’N Coming, who was awarded Junior & Grand Champion Female in her ring — another proud moment for our team.

This success would not be possible without the incredible people behind the scenes.

First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to my Aunt Vicki for her unwavering support and mentorship. Her continued success with her own cattle, and the strength of the Rotherwood genetics within our herd, play a huge part in what we've achieved.

To the “A Team” this week — what a crew! Just three of us managing 13 head, and you both tackled it with professionalism and heart. Carlie and Harrison, your dedication, work ethic, and calm under pressure were nothing short of inspiring. I’m incredibly grateful to have had you both alongside me.

To Aisy, thank you for keeping us fed during the week and for your set of extra hands wherever needed! It was certainly greatly appreciated.

To Mia and Daniel, who flew up especially to help with fitting and prep — thank you. Your expertise and attention to detail ensured the cattle looked the best they ever have on show day. Your support meant the world.

Lastly, thank you EKKA for a fantastic event. It’s been a pleasure to meet fellow exhibitors, share stories, and enjoy the camaraderie of the show. We hope to be back again soon!

Cann Valley & Rotherwood Studs have arrived after the 20 hour journey to EKKA (Royal Brisbane Show.)

The Cattle have taken the journey absolutely tremendously, we are super happy with how they are looking.

We look forward to a great week ahead!

We are very fortunate to also have a lovely Dexter Heifer who we are showing and looking after for Louise Ball of Carragheen Dexters - Carragheen Up ‘N’ Coming who is a beautiful example of the Dexter Breed.

We confidently recommend and endorse Craig Dolinski of Dolinski Transport for ensuring their safe arrival.

Our team is already seeing outstanding calves from both sires across Australia and the United States, and we couldn't be more pleased with their early impact.
