They say mans best friend is a dog, I feel like that quote needs to be flipped and should be that a dog's best friend is its human.

I mean who else would go scooting with you on a day with winds over 80km/h, rain and sleet then your bestie!
I only see two loving the weather here and its not the two legged one 🤣😂🫶🐕

Another weekend was spent at Wingello Base camp in the Southern Highlands with the awesome NSW Siberian Express All Breeds Sled Dog Club crew for their SX Sprint Meet🏆

I meet some beautiful doggos and their owners from all different clubs, it’s such a massive community

There are no words to describe the feeling of watching the specks of dawn coming up on the horizon and listening to the excited howl’s of Huskies, Mallies and all types of hounds knowing that they going to be running very soon🐕🐾🦴

I urge anyone who is interested to come and watch👀

While its been a bit quite on my page i have been a busy girl with a husband who has taken up a new hobby.
We are now dryland mushers!

So for me this means more puppys to cuddle and photograph, more time camping in the bush and new friends with a big love for dogs like us x

Meet our newest family member Luna aka NuNu

Luna is a 12 week old Pied coloured Siberian Husky, and she has come from the wonderful ladies at Winter Affair Siberian Huskies.
we are absolutely in love with her and while she loves us too it's her new big sister (our stafford matilda) that holds the biggest place in her heart

I have to say she has been the most content, well adjusted pup that we have ever brought home and she has fit straight into our crazy family, and that is due to all of the work and love that kim and Kimberley have put into raising their pups and developing their senses and agility.

We can't wait to see how she grows and her personality really comes to life.

Sundays Mornings are different for everyone.
for me is coffee in bed with hubby and the fur kids (yes that's right out giant St Bernard is on the bed too) or off doing a sunrise shoot with a family and their fur babies.

Not a day goes by that I'd likely consider it "easy", but I love photographing animals more than wine and chocolate.
And if we're being honest, I probably couldn't live without any of them.

Do you remember why your favourite breed of dog or cat is your favourite?

Mine was always a St. Bernard and i can't tell you if it was seeing them in the switzerland exhibit at world expo in 88 or from watching beethoven.
But this breed has my heart and soul.

What’s the fuel your day could not get started without? For me, it’s puppy cuddles and coffee.

Next question: What happens when you don’t get it?
I for one, never miss it, so no one ever has to see what happens if i don't have my coffee and miss matilda never skips morning cuddle time😂.

It’s crazy at over here at The Fur Mum as we start our 2023 bookings, so you won’t catch me skipping my coffee these days!

Not a lot of people know this but my first big love was not actually dogs but indeed horses.

Growing up on a farm I never had a fear of of these majestic beings and could be quite often found in their feed bins hand feeding them much to their displeasure at my diaper enclad slowness.

This love has never faded and from the very first time that I watched The Man From Snowy River I had always wanted to see wild brumbies in real life and maybe take one home lol.

Last winter this wish came true while doing some snow dog sessions near Mt Kosciusko!
So while i watched in awe and edging a little closer to these beautiful creatures (not too close and keeping near a good sized tree)
with my husband yelling warnings that these beauties were wild and to not get too close
i got my dream of capturing wild brumbies, just not quite in the same way that i wanted to capture one at the age of 13.
