This brave rooster was found living on his own at the Yass Cemetery and looking a little worse for ware. He is doing just fine now at the animal shelter, but we're on the lookout for his owner. If you recognise him as your feathered friend, please reach out!

He’s now safe and being cared for at the Animal Shelter, patiently waiting for his owner to come forward.

Georgie spends his days running wild and free in his big backyard, and his evenings are all about couch cuddles and claiming his rightful half of the bed. He’s also made a four-legged bestie, and the two are inseparable!

Meet Phobie, a spirited two-year-old Staffordshire who found herself at the Yass Valley Animal Shelter after being found straying.

Despite waiting patiently, no one came forward to claim her. Her story took a heartwarming turn when a loving family saw her potential and decided to give her a second chance at happiness.

Phobie’s new family recently shared an update "she has settled in beautifully! A social butterfly at heart, Phobie thrives on being part of the action, especially when it comes to the kids—she doesn’t miss a beat. Her days are filled with love, laughter, and a family who adore her".

This happy ending wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing family who opened their hearts to Phobie. A huge thank you to them for giving her the life she deserves!

Remember Dusty?🐕🐾

This beautiful boy’s owner passed away and he spent a few weeks at the shelter waiting for rangers to find him a new forever home.

A willing family came along and welcomed Dusty in for a trial. Dusty delighted them with his charm, and within days he was the newest member of the family.

There’s been numerous sightings of Dusty meeting new friends at the Dog park and during his jaunts around the canine hotspots in town, he is quite the celeb!

The new owners have emailed us through this picture of Dusty with his sister captioned ‘the navigation team’ 😆💕and an update.

“Dusty has made himself at home alongside Nell our elderly dog, and the two cats as well as the resident possum. He is very helpful with dishes of leftovers and plates and saucepans that are licked clean and it seems hardly worthwhile to put them in the dishwasher.....but we do of course! My son has really taken to him, and they are often out walking before I get up. He is a lovely dog, and we will do our best to give him a good life with us”.

Great News Dusty, you are super deserving! and a big thank you to your new wonderful family for giving you a chance.🥰🙏

As he is young, he will need to find a home with someone who has the time and patience to grow into the amazing dog he's destined to be.
