Townsville Lost & Found Pets Our mission is to reunite owners with their beloved pets in Townsville & Surroundings areas.

Over 15years ago we had created Townsville Lost & Found Pets with over 32k followers on this page and then creating a group page in hopes of reuniting owners with their much loved pets, helping in finding a potential new owner for shelter pets needing a new forever loving home and posting daily of all impounded pets and general advice & tips in keeping your pets safe including (Fireworks & Storm p

osts to be aware of to secure your pets). We are a family orientated page and not a judgmental page like other pages as we do not know the circumstances surrounding the whole situation and only offer helpful advice. We do our very best in sharing your posts and trying to piece lost & found posts together with links for owners and finders to be aware and to get straight into contact with each other on bringing them home much quicker. We care about your missing pets and will do everything we can as admins to help bring your pet home, as pet owners ourselves we can understand just how you might be feeling in losing your pet.

💧🐱Keeping Your Cat Hydrated 🐱💧

With the summer heat in full swing, it’s essential to keep your furry friend hydrated. Cats naturally drink less water than dogs, but there are a few tricks to encourage them to sip more:

💦Provide Multiple Water Sources💦
Cats are picky about their drinking spots. Place water bowls in several areas of your home to make it easier for them to hydrate.

💧Choose the Right Bowl💧
Many cats prefer wide, shallow bowls that don’t touch their whiskers. Opt for ceramic or stainless steel bowls instead of plastic, which can affect the water’s taste.

💦Try a Water Fountain💦
Cats love running water! A pet water fountain can intrigue your cat and encourage more frequent drinking.

💧Enhance Their Water💧
Add a splash of tuna juice (in water, not oil) or chicken broth (unsalted) to their water bowl for a tasty incentive.

💦Incorporate Wet Food💦
Canned cat food has a high moisture content and is a great way to boost hydration while providing nutrition.

🌿Keep Water Fresh🌿
Change your cat’s water daily and clean the bowls regularly to keep things fresh and appealing.

🧊Cool Treats🧊
Offer your cat ice cubes made from low-sodium chicken broth or just plain water to lick or play with.

💡 Signs of Dehydration in Cats: Watch for lethargy, dry gums, reduced skin elasticity, or decreased appetite. If you’re concerned, contact us for advice.
