Those excuses are mute to my ears, and quite frankly make me sick!😡

REALITY OF TODAYS WORLD WE LIVE IN 🥲

Photo isn’t new but tragically it is still happening everyday and getting worse 🥲

“I’m moving I can’t take my dog with me”
“The baby is allergic”
“I am too busy for him”
“I don’t have time to train him”
“My new partner dosent like dogs”
“ I’m going on holiday and can’t afford to board him”
“He’s old and getting sick”
“I got a new puppy and he dosent like it”
“He barks to much and digs my yard”
“I didn’t know how big he would grow “
“I’m pregnant “
”My landlord doesn’t want dogs”
This. ….
This is where your dog ends up. I’m tired of peoples excuses I’m tired of dogs ending up dead in shelter floor I’m tired.
A dog is a lifetime responsibility.
A commitment of 10+ years. That dog that you sent to the dog pound for whatever excuse ,trusted you and loved you. No excuses I don’t want to hear it.
Think about this twice before you give a small insignificant excuse as to why you have to give up your dog."

We are a rescue NOT a shelter 👍
Rescues save dogs from these places but we just can’t save them all !

If they were not there in the first place we would not be needed !!!

This is five month old Gary, he came into our care today. Gary has a condition called Ductus Arteriosis. There is a small vessel in the dogs heart that connects the pulmonary artery and the aorta, it is used in utero to allow blood to bypass the non functioning lungs. In Gary’s case his has not closed over within days of his birth, like it should have and now his heart is pumping extra hard to move blood around his body. We need to close off this vessel because if left untreated, he will go into heart failure. We have a wonderful surgical team lined up for heart surgery tomorrow, thought it is expensive and we are seeking your help with the cost.

We are a not for profit group that is ran entirely by volunteers, all money we receive from our adoption fees and donations is used to cover our vet bills and allow us to continue to save dogs like Gary.

Any donations to assist us to cover the specialist surgery would be greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.

🦠⚠Warning Parvovirus Locally!⚠🦠

Canine Parvovirus is a deadly disease of dogs. 🐶😔

The virus causes destruction to the intestinal lining.
Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, and bloody diarrhoea. Infection is painful and recovery is slow. Parvo is long lasting in the environment, resistant to soaps and detergents, is highly contagious and easily spread.

There is no cure for Parvovirus infection!
Affected dogs can receive intensive care over several days to weeks, but in spite of medical care some patients will not survive.

Parvovirus infection can be prevented with routine core vaccination. If your dog is not current with their vaccines please contact your clinic. Vaccinations play a vital role in protecting your pet and help reduce the spread of this painful and deadly infection.

If you have a puppy currently undergoing their vaccination course we advise you to socialise them with great care. Avoid high traffic areas, meeting with unvaccinated dogs and avoid dog and community parks. We still advocate strongly for the socialisation of pups and we are able to advise safe ways to do so.
