Finn completed his snake avoidance training last year, today his owner was out on a bush walk when he stopped at this point and flat out refused to walk past (to the point they had to turn around!).
Note Finns ears back, nervous panting and tail down - these are all his snake cues!!
When I tell clients to look out for "odd" behaviour and trust it, this is a perfect example of what I mean! We can't see a snake in this video to be 100% sure it's there, but Finns behaviour is tell tale! That log on the ground looks like a very lovely house for a snake!
If in doubt, listen to your dog and leave the area so you don't disturb a snake.

Louis breaks his heel to dodge snake on the side of the road!
Louis's owner has worked very hard with his obedience and he always walks in a very beautiful heel. We can see here that his snake awareness training has caused him to break his heel (and cross behind his owners legs) to create a safe distance around the snake!!!

Ranger loves jumping in the back seat of his owners car, so for this scenario we placed a snake right I front of the car seat to see if he'd spot the snake!
