Marine Rescue Ulverstone: Helping Out and Having Fun at the Ulverstone Rodeo!
Hey everyone! I wanted to share some exciting news about what we at Marine Rescue Ulverstone have been up to lately. As you know, we're not just about water safety and rescues; we're also passionate about supporting our fantastic community and local events. This time, we're thrilled to be helping out with one of Ulverstone's most anticipated gatherings: the Ulverstone Rodeo!
We're really proud to be involved, and I wanted to give you a little more insight into what we'll be doing and why it’s important. Here's the lowdown:
• Traffic Control with a Twist: This year, several of our dedicated Marine Rescue Ulverstone members will be volunteering their time to manage traffic and parking at the Ulverstone Rodeo. Now, you might be thinking, "Marine Rescue guys doing traffic control?". The answer is yes! Many of our members have backgrounds in emergency services, and traffic management is something we’re comfortable doing.
• Community Support is What We're All About: We truly believe in the power of community, and we love lending a hand whenever we can. For us, supporting the Ulverstone Rodeo is another way to help make our town a vibrant and enjoyable place to live and visit. It takes a lot of effort to put on an event of this scale, and we’re happy to do our part. We feel it is important to all be active community members!
• A Team Effort: It's such a great chance for our members to come together and contribute in a different way than usual. It’s fantastic to be part of the action on land as well as on the water! Plus, it’s a bit of a change of pace from our normal day-to-day, and I know everyone is looking forward to it. It also gives us the opportunity to meet more members of our wonderful community and promote what we do at marine rescue Ulverstone.
• Supporting Other Great Groups: You know, we're not the only amazing group here in Ulverstone, and we feel strongly about collaborating with other great organizations. By assisting the Ulverstone Rodeo, it means we are supporting a fantastic local event, as well as contributing to the ongoing success of other groups in our area.
• Rodeo Fun and Safety: We're not just there to direct traffic; we are also there to help things run smoothly and safely for everyone as well! This is a community event and everyone wants to have the best experience possible. We will help ensure things are well organised and we know the benefits of that!
• Free Bus Service - Leave the Driving to bus’s R Us: Now, for those of you who may not want to deal with the parking logistics, we have some fantastic news! There will be free buses running to and from the Ulverstone Rodeo from town on the day. This will make it super easy for everyone to get to (and from) all the fun, stress-free! Keep an eye out for those busses.
• Clear Signage for Parking:
If you choose to drive, don't worry, we've got you covered.
There will be clear and noticeable signage posted at the South Road roundabout directing you away from the main car park in the event it becomes full.
We know from previous events that the carpark with in the arena can fill up fast, so we are making sure it is easy to find extra parking as well. If that car park does become full, we will make sure you are provided with guidance to park in other safe areas.
Location and pick up times for the bus will be posted prior to the event.
• More Than Just Boats: I know most people associate Marine Rescue with our work on the water. While we're always ready for rescues, we're also a group of people who are passionate about our community and want to do our part on land too. It’s an excellent example of how we use our talents and skills to benefit the entire community, not just those who enjoy boating.
• Get Involved with the Rodeo!: This is a fantastic opportunity to come together and support this vibrant local event. The Ulverstone Rodeo always puts on an impressive display, so I highly encourage you to participate! Come along have a ball, and know that you are also supporting another great Ulverstone event.
• Thank You to Our Members: I just want to give a huge shout out to all our members who will be volunteering their time to help out all day! Without you, we wouldn't be able to support events like the Ulverstone Rodeo in this way. Your community spirit is what makes Marine Rescue Ulverstone so great. As it’s a long day we really appreciate all that our members do!
• Future Community Events: We really look forward to collaborating with more local community organisations. It's a great way for us to both participate and contribute, while meeting more members of community! Keep your eye's peeled for future announcements, as Marine Rescue Ulverstone plans to continue assisting the local community.
So, there you have it! I hope all of you can make your way to the Ulverstone Rodeo. Come along, have a fantastic time and make sure you wave to our crew as you pass by. We're looking forward to seeing you all there! It’s going to be a great day for the community, and we’re proud to be a small part of it!
