I'm pretty happy with how the nearly final section looks.

However, I am struggling to find good photos of
Rio Jariini peacock bass
Trombetus peacock bass
And Vazzoler peacock bass.

My understanding is that 2 of these are also relatively newly discovered, so finding aquarium photos of them seems to be rather tricky.

If any of my keepers from other countries have good photos of them, we'd love to feature them. Please reach out if you have some stunning photos to show off.

I'm looking for some feedback on the layout, design, and buttons.

For the "build your colony" button, I also have ideas like "hook me a bunch," "I need a skool," or "stock my tank", but I'm interested in consumer feedback.

Prices are exclusive of shipping, however transport to the surrounding areas of Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane & Gold Coast will be free. We will extend that circle within reason beyond those limits, but we are known to be a little crazy collecting fish from as far as 22-hours away. So dropping ponds off may not be out of the question to keep the costs of transport down.

We will ship them Australia wide but please get in contact with us for a quote.

They do have a 45 to 90 day turn around once order is placed and we would ideally aim for that February to April window after Christmas, in the off peak to keep shipping costs to a minimum.
They might even make a fashionably late Christmas present for your significant others hobby.

FOR THE SYDNEY MARKET:

With the shed coming along for the expansion of fish, something else has been going on in the background I haven't yet openly announced.

Brendan and I started this little business and have had a great friendship over the years. Plenty of late nights of fish phone calls, talking care and husbandry and combating disease and errors to making the hobby more selective and refined for a community of purists, especially in the African cichlids. Trust me, we have had our moments of arguments and disagreements but always been really understanding of one another and despite the fact we live so far apart have maintain good contact on the regular.

I knew at some piont this day would come, because not all good things last forever. Just like I missed seeing such a great Breeder like Doug disappear from the hobby, I feel we are about to loose another.
For those that don't know brendan personally, he is the most rough but pedantic person you will ever meet when it comes to the selection of his fish.
Making him in my oppion one of most educational people you will ever interact with.

He always had reasons and did very strict study and due diligence when it came to providing the best possible bloodlines of what he kept.
All in all, I feel I've been privileged to have such a mentor in my fishkeeping, with knowledge from many years of experience.

It's something that's even harder to find in the hobby. Finding rare and lucrative fish is one thing. Finding someone who is patient and experienced to guide and mentor you....priceless.

So here is where we are at.

I'm looking at obtaining Brendan's entire list of stock, as he ages into his golden years and wants to live his life a little and have a quieter back end to work on his anger management issues 😋

This is not a little fish room, nore is it elaborate but it is functional and has served him well over the years.
I'm looking at possibly flying down to ship and move the fish as this would probably be the most logistically viable however the issue I have atm is with the sheds not currently ready, is where do I put so many species of fish?

I also don't like the idea of moving an entire mega sized fish room from Sydney to Toowoomba.
So as far as tanks and racking, I'd ideally like to negoiate pricing with interested buyers in the area first before I start order freight trucks.

This is a sad and happy moment where I'm excited to see him have some down time and sad to see him leave the hobby, but there are promises he will take me fishing when things settle.
So many memories to still come.

Brendan, you've been the best fish keeping teacher anyone could ask for.

And over the years I feel privilege to have worked with so many people in this hobby that have almost been considered legends in their own fields. Hopefully I can use all the knowledge from everyone I've obtained to reshape the hobby all together.

I'll leave a list of tanks. I had to squint to ready the Chinese but I'll do a more detailed type up when I get a chance.
