Busy day working on finishing the turkey shed. Didn’t get inside till 9pm. Took some pics in the dark, will take more tomorrow as the 9 week old poults move into the quail yard.

Tom Yumm, Tom Jones & Pamela move into the Turkey house, the two chicken coups will open into the new yards, Yarabilba 1 ( Barnevelders & Rhode Island’s) and Yarabilba 2 (Brahma’s & Orpingtons )

We are expecting here at the farm. Our first incubator full of fertilised eggs from Russell the Splash Orpington and Barry Barnevelder are due to hatch here in a short time. We have another 3 incubators full and due a week after the first hatch. Busy making brooder boxes and finishing off the turkey house. We are waiting on the next turkey clutch to start laying.

Not much else to do after finishing some mowing than enjoy a glass of wine and show off your new C**k. Welcome to the Dynasty Russell, a stunning Splash Orpington rooster to go over our Black, Blue and Splash Orpington hens. We have also have 9 new turkeys in the brooder box who are almost ready to hit the grass to grow out for Xmas and a new clutch of turkey eggs under Pam, fertilised by Tom Jones and Tom Yum

Meet our newest addition, Russell the Splash Orpington Rooster. Orpingtons are my second favourite poultry breed. Brahma are my favourite breed currently. We also added 9 new turkeys to our turkey flock.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but my Zero Turn Hustler can mow this in under a day. Short grass with large open space looks good and keeps Snakes and Rats away. They can all stay out of my neighbourhood.
