A huge thank you to Dr James and Dr Jane Tiernan of Vets Of Geelong, who continue to donate regularly to the Geelong Community Foundation through proceeds from animal nail clippings ๐พ
It may be a surprise to some but this donation was in excess of $5,000 over the last four months!
Head to our website or talk to our Development Manager Tony McManus today about all the creative ways you can give.
Monty the little cutie was in having a dental at our Highton Clinic ๐๐
If a puppyโs teeth are misaligned the teeth can press into the roof of the mouth and will cause pain and discomfort, this can also be associated with behavioural problems.
The problem teeth have now been removed and Monty will be much happier ๐

๐ฅฐ BALOO ๐ฅฐ The big handsome Baloo recovering from his desexing and preventative gastropexy today. An elective gastropexy is sometimes performed in large breed, deep chested dogs at time of desexing to reduce the chance of an emergency gastric dilation and volvus (GDV). GDV, also known as bloat, is a life threatening disorder commonly seen in large breed dogs with deep chest. It GDV occurs when the stomach bloats and then twists around itself, quickly causing the stomach to fill with gas and thus turning into a life-threatening situation. A preventative gastropexy helps to reduce the chance of the stomach twisting, and as such significantly reducing the risk of GDV. #VetsOfGeelong #HightonVet
