We are back in business !!!

That’s right my paws and claws, get your tail wagging because we are back open and ready to take on some new friends.

We also have some new services availabile
Lost tails - if you find a lost Animal but can’t hold them for long we are happy to hold them till the owner is found or a vet is open.

We are thinking about fostering very soon !!

Good morning everyone !!!

As we get that little bit closer to freedom we can’t wait to see you all.
Following the rules to stay safe of-course .

The services we will have open will be walks , daycares and training .

We are just in the process of moving to a new place so we have to get everything ready . But fear not we will be organise and set to go .

For essential workers !!
If your at work all day and worry about your pup please let us know and we would be happy to watch your fur friend whilst you keep Australia running 🏃‍♀️.

Our prices will be changing a little bit and hopefully we will be able to propose a few more services that we can provide soon .
So be patient because we have some pretty exciting things coming !!

Hello everyone

We hope you are all well and staying safe during these tough times.

Just wanted to touch base on the reason we haven’t been active .
We have been closed due to covid really being a big risk. And now not being able to really have our usual bookings at all is pretty crazy.

But fear not we will be back in action hopefully in the next few months .

With a new area available to get to know us and lots of new goals we hope to achieve
We hope that you will still come along with us on this journey .

Some exciting news

Our trainer Rayshell is currently expecting her second baby due in November 🥳🥳

Even with a bundle of joy on the way she has been working hard to make your experience with us better and getting our dreams and goals closer to the finish line.

If anyone would like donate some beds or toys to us we are happy to take them for a new venue and backyard for your fur buddies to have fun in.

Hello everyone

So covid is starting to spike again which makes meet and greets a little
Bit difficult.

So as a team we have decided that although physical meetings are better, we are turning to face time or other video call apps to do meet and greets :)

For pick up and drop off of animals make sure any materials you send with your doggo are clean and you wear gloves when handing it to us

We will make sure to wear gloves, mask and have hand sanitiser on us at all times.

We also have updated forms that will need to be filled out, we can email them to you and then you fill it out scan and awns it back :)

Spending time with this little frenchie over the past week has been an absolute tail wagging experience 🐶

We went on walks, had play time with the hoomans in the house and chill time in the grass 🐾

Little arlo goes home today we sure will miss him and will be excited to see him in the future 🐕🦎

Met this handsome little guy today
Arlo is only 13 weeks old
He is a French bull dog 🐶

today we went for a walk with some other fur friends and then we played and slept for the rest of the day 💤💤

Puppies at this age need lots of rest time as it helps develops there sense of routine and growth.

Walk it out Wednesday !!!

We love going for a walks in the morning 🐾

Today we enjoyed a 40 minute walk with our new friend rocky !

He loves to sniff everything and just enjoy walking beside you.

Our latest geckos were an absolute treat to spend time with
Rocky being a little pup and full of energy
And jet being the elder chilled out guy

Jet and rocky had some play time during the afternoon and then chill time whilst the weather turned to poo
This morning we took rocky for his first walk and he was a little ball full of fun jumping and spinning but stopping and sitting when told
Jet came along and walked right beside rocky and had some yummy treats on the way home

It’s important to teach pups how to listen and behave on the leash as it makes taking them for a walk and hanging out more fun

Can’t wait to spend more time with these guys

It’s FRIDAY 🤠🤠

Just wanted to push on a small matter with everyone.

So I know we all love to pay cash because it’s easier but during the covid outbreaks we really do push that you pay through online transaction. We are fine with cash but just want to be safe😊
If you don’t know how just ask when making a payment and we will demonstrate how to do so

What a great day this is !!!

Got to meet this handsome guy 🐾

Niklaus is about 3 years old
Very well nature’s,calm and collected type of dog.
Loves his cuddles and kisses

Today we got to do a small evaluation to see what behavioural corrections he needed when walking with a lead🐕

He did absolutely amazing and listen to ever command 😊

Niklaus his parents and Our trainer Rayshell Sharpe will be doing training sessions over 4 weeks . Our goal is to have him walking without pulling on his leash and to eventually not need any corrections at all 🦎🐾
I’m excited to be on this journey 😁😁

TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY 🦎🐾

good morning all 👋🏻

Recently I have had some customers talk about their concerns with how we follow the guidelines for COVID-19 .

Here are some tips on how we make sure we do it right 🙂

*we will not shake hands but give you an air high five instead 😊

* We have hand sanitisers available when you:
-enter our home
-handle money

* we wear masks when around:
-elderly as they are more susceptible to the virus
-younger children as their immune system are not ready to fight this type of virus

*we encourage you to do no-contact payments which include:
-online transaction
-bank transfer
If you are unsure how , ask us and we will show you the ropes ☺️

* when it comes to drop off/ pick up of your furry companions we ask that you do your best to stay at a safe distance to prevent the spread.
Organise with your carer a way to do so

* if you or anyone around are feeling unwell please let us know immediately
-if we feel unwell we will cease our activities immediately to get tested and get well. We will also contact you if anyone around us has been unwell or if there have been any unprecedented positive cases suddenly pop up in our area, we ask that you do the same 🦠

We ask everyone to stay safe and stay strong during these hard times.
Wash your hands thoroughly and carry hand sanitiser everywhere you go 😊

Howdy 🤠
How are we all on this fine day !!

Just wanted to let you all know of the changes that will take place as of Monday :)

First off let me say how excited we are here at geckos 🦎 taking all these new leaps for a better experience !!
These changes aren’t to drastic just small things now that we are all legitimate and doing things correctly.

First change is you will now receive a form to fill out when you make an enquiry or booking with us so we can keep everything on file 🏠

Second change is the way we do our payments💰 - for some it can be confusing but we are more than happy to help 🐕
when making a booking tell us when you’d like to pay for it and we will send an invoice on the day of payment , the invoice has an account that you’ll send your payments through to 😊once you’ve payed just tell us so we know it’s confirmed :) (gst is included so say you pay $35 for overnights it’ll end up being $40 or so with gst )

Third change is our community centre
So when sending a making a booking make sure to send an extra message saying time for pick up and drop off and what you’d like done during the stays or walks just so we can create a fun experience for your fur baby 🐈

We really hope you all stay with us on our journey to bigger and better things not just for us as a team but for you as our awesome clients and your tail wagging friends 🐕🐈❤️

🦎🌞 What a lovely sunny Monday! 🌞🦎

Here at Gecko’s we know how much your pups love a good play, walk or lazy day lounging in the sun!

We also now how important sun safety is, for you and your furry friend!

Here are some top tips to keep time in the sun safe and fun!

🐾 Outside areas should always have shade or shelter to escape the heat of the day!
🐾 Clean, fresh water should always be available for drinking, especially during and after exercise!
🐾 Avoid exposure to the sun and exercise during the hottest parts of the day.
🐾 Keep your pet well groomed!
🐾 Avoid walking on hot pavements!
🐾 Use pet safe sunscreen if you can! Pets with white or short coats are more susceptible to sunburn, taking extra care to apply well to the ears and nose!
🐾 Brachycephalic (short-nosed) and long-haired breeds are more likely to get heat stroke, make sure they limit time in the sun and watch them carefully. If they start to pant it’s time for some water and chill time!
