On Sunday we ventured down to Acacia Ridge for the Cats Qld Inc Birman show.
3 Entires and 2 kittens in tow.
The 2 babies at just 16 weeks of age both excelled in all 3 rings against 26 beautiful kittens, with the highlight being Hareem Oh My Gosh, chocolate tabby bi colour Oriental taking out best shorthaired kitten in show under Liz Andresen (S.A)
Hareem Rise To Stardom is now a grand champion and placed in top 7 entires all 3 rings.
Hareem Sweet Lullaby first show back after babies placed in top 7 entires in 2 rings.
Ashanti Flammin Hot achieved a 4th place in top 7 in 1 ring.

Mum Startrill Vina Dax is now doing well after being stiched up after the traumatic birth, and dad Gd ch Hareem Rise to Stardom is oblivious to everything.
Who said breeding was easy?
On Thursday morning our beautiful van Oriental girl Startrill Vina Dax gave birth to 5 huge van Orientals. 3 boys, 2 girls.
One kitten was 102 gm😱 poor Vina had a hard time pushing them out and was traumatised by the whole thing.
Luckily i was there to help.
Yesterday she prolaped and we had to make an emergency dash to the vets. Poor girl must have been in so much pain but she still fed her 5 babies.
She was literally split from A**s to breakfast and had to be stitched up.
Much better today and thank goodness she has started to eat again.
Sadly V may not be able to have another litter so will be keeping at least one of the girls all being well 🙏
This is one of the reasons i wanted to get a dog.
All my kittens now go to their new homes being used to big dogs.
Mind you, Judy is a one in a million greyhound.
So gentle.

Yesterday we attended the QICC show at Caboolture.
Mixed results but overall a good day especially for seal point male kitten Hareem Tick Tick Boom.
In a huge line up of 45 short haired kittens, Boomer took out a reserve in show and 2 x 11th place in the top 15.
Hareem Rise to Stardom, 1 x reserve and an 8th place top 10 shorthair entires (16)
Siamhappy Ava Sweet Melody 10th place top 10.

Yesterday we attended the F C C Q show at Strathpine. First show for 2024.
No air con working at the venue but we all survived.
Ch Rise To Stardom. Lilac Ticked Tabby Bi col Oriental Male went Best in Show short haired entire under Wendy Hamilton N S W, and won the A C F sash. Riser also took out a 3rd best in show Jo Dennington and 8th best Cheryl St Claire-Newman N Z.
Hareem Tick Tick Boom, Siamese seal point male placed 3rd best short haired kitten under Wendy Hamilton out of 27 lovely kittens.
Ashanti Flammin Hot, Black Tortie Oriental was placed reserve short haired kitten in show Wendy Hamilton, and 10th best Jo Dennington
