These 6 kittens from Bundaberg were transferred to The Not Forgotten Ones in Brisbane for more adoptions opportunities.

They are up for preadoption now and are looking for safe loving homes through their rescue.

They are some of 20 plus cats that came from the one house in Bundaberg.

3 new cats from Gayndah.
A tabby mother pregnant to her son which is just really unfortunate. A black and white girl who miscarried her brothers litter a few weeks ago and the chonky scratched up brother/son/dad him self.

Sterling is back home from the vets after his Sunday to Friday holiday.

His very glad to be back smooching up to his friends and people and just being a very happy boy.

He wouldn't be here without everyone's collective effort and donations. So I'm very thankful that you were all able to help save him.

Urinary blockages, especially with the quantity Sterling had backed up quickly become fatal without treatment. Luckily Sterling had his in time and survived without any kidney complications.

His was caused by a UTI and blood clots which is actually better then crystals the other main reason for Urinary blockages.

He was very sick and lethargic for a few days and seemed a bit touch and go, but his doing so much better now which is a relief.

Sterling came in as a kitten last November from the horrendously unhealthy ginger 100 and his being in care for a year now. Luckily things have being pretty smooth sailing up until now apart from a spot of cat flu so I would say he will be back at 100% in a couple weeks and can continue the search for a home.

It would be very nice to get Sterling a home after his recovered so he can have some 1 on 1 attention or maybe even 1 on 2, as he loves his friends. Being spoiled in a low stress quiet household would do wonders for Sterling and finding that home one day is something he can continue aiming for thanks to everyone saving his life.

A eye ulcer has begun forming today. Hopefully it doesn't cause any damage. He also had his first vet appointment when we picked Sterling up.

This cute little baby was found in the middle of a very busy multi lane main road in Biloela about midday near the shops.

Her finder spotted her on the white line and went back to quickly grab her before she was run over.

What a lucky kitty.

She will need a home.

Some more adoptions this week
🤎 The family unit of Bucko, Champ and mother cat Aurelia who came into Rockhampton pound in March of 2024 are going to a home together tomorrow in Gin Gin after waiting the longest time with zero interest.

🩵🧡 Stacey and Snuffy, 2 fluffy ladies from the Chinchilla 70+ are going to a new home together today in Biloela after a year in care. I hope it goes well for these shy girls.

Sterling is ready to come home tomorrow, but we also have to finish up his account tomorrow too and we are still a bit off. It's fantastic he got through such a near death experience. Now for the even harder challenge finding a loving home which he has being waiting a year for.

Sterling had a medical emergency late Sunday afternoon and had to be hurried into the vets for an emergency procedure to save his life or he would of died that night.

He had a completely blocked bladder, close to bursting full of dark bloody urine which was quickly becoming toxic. He was also very dehydrated, with his eyes beginning to swell up and weap from the infamous 'ginger 100' cat flu that would never miss a dip in the immune system to make its appearance.

Luckily the vet was able to place the catheter successfully drain out the urine. He has being on fluids for several days now to correct his dehydration and protect his kidneys. The most dangerous time for kidney injury was the first 24 hours so I'm relieved he got through that.

Thankfully his obstruction wasn't caused by urinary crystals, but a bad UTI that had created a lot of blood clots and immflamtion blocking off the narrow urethra. The vet started him on 2 antibiotics and pain relief from what I heard.

Sterling is improving with the urine beginning to clear up and he ate a bit for the first time last night. It was time to take the catheter out yesterday so now the wait is on to see if he can toilet on his own. Should he still have to much immflamtion and need the catheter placed again for a few more days, we will need to financially guarantee that or be faced with a difficult situation. I'm staying positive however and hopefully he is able to p*e again on his own today.

Sterling will be in the hospital for a couple more days so we need to get his account covered asap.

Tank
Tank is a lovely cat who has being in care since February. He was adopted out recently for about a week, the lucky fella getting to have the family experience for just a moment, but he unfortunately was pulling the screen doors open and getting outside which wasn't safe for him so his back again after a short holiday.

It's a bit sad to see him back so soon, but hopefully he can get a adoption again that lasts this time. He is one of the best natured cats, friendly and confident with a playful spark. The adopter even said he was taking turns to sleep on the beds at night.

Tank gets along well with other cats and would suit most households. He may need a home with secure doors and better yet a cat enclosure for him to get his energy out in safely.

Tank is desexed, vaccinated twice, microchipped and parasite treated to a indoor homes.

Transport can be arranged around QLD.
