RIP Hail.

Hail was one of my little bottle babies from Biloela who I've had since 3 days old. We were not able to win the war with his digestive problems and despite having a big appetite he still starved him self to death because he was not absorbing the nutrients from his food. I have being trying very hard, but it was not meant to be. He led a very fun fulfilling short life and everyday was a day he enjoyed to the fullest traveling at my side and giving and receiving a lot of love. He was happy.

Hail's sister Rain has also being struggling, but things are beginning to improve. Windy the biggest boy is completely fine. I guess he has a different dad as he is very large and strong.

I will be getting Hail cremated and we still have about $80 to go to cover his funeral costs. Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far. Send me a message if you would like to help me with this final gesture for Hail.

Vet day tomorrow and it's cooking up to be a big one.

Funds needed
$1,755 raised out of $2600

Our next big vet day is coming up on the 27th with 12 cats and kittens going in for their general vet work and surgeries.

We have 6 boys and 6 girls for desexing and each one needs vaccinating and microchiping, plus parasite treatment. Our adoptions have being slow and without adoption fees or donations coming in, vet work will be delayed unfortunately.

Please help us help the kitties if you can. Sharing, donating and adopting is a great way to help. Most of these little guys don't have homes yet.

Our 5 Slacks creek kittens haven't had any adoption interest yet.

They are going in for desexing on Tuesday and can go home a week latter as desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated kitties.

We are still short considerably for our desexing day so a few more adoptions or donations will help so much.

We need some more kitten food. We have just run out.

Our little bottle babies haven't being taking thier transition to solids well and it's a delicate balance feeding them at the moment as they have such sensitive stomachs.

While Windy is almost 800g Rain and Hail have being stuck around 400g for almost 3 weeks now which is bad.

This stuff and roast chicken is the only things they can eat.

It cost around $50 for a box of 24 which lasts a couple days.

If anyone can shout us a box it would be much appreciated.

Junior is home.
He has a lot less external injuries then I was expecting which is a testament to how frightening internal issues can be.

I was still having troubles visualizing what actually happened until I saw the x ray which showed the pus filling the entrity of his abdomen. No wonder it blew a hole in his belly from the pressure.

He went well last night, but woke me up at 4am furiously licking his sides and chewing on his W***y. I thought he was in pain because peritonitis is supposed to be very painful. I manged to settle him down and he fell asleep.

When I woke up this morning a couple of hours latter I discovered he had tried to chew off the top half of his tounge and almost succeeded. He was also extremely itchy. I called the vet and we worked out he is mostly likely having an allergic reaction, but he has had so many meds we won't know which. Luckily tounges are very good at healing which I didn't know. Was scared for a minute thinking he would have to survive with half a tounge.

Thankfully the itchiness has slowed down now and his being playing and doing normal kitten things. Still a bit chesty from aspirating and anemic though.

What happened to him is honestly unreal.
The poor boy has just about ticked off every organ in his check list. The vet had to inject adrenaline directly into his heart when he died which caused a bit of bleeding.

A few more weeks recovery and then I will feel safe.

He is one lucky star.

I can't decide how many lives he used up with so many fatal things happening at once and his back to trying to steal food off the bench already. What a legend.

🔴🔴 CRITICAL CONDITION 🔴🔴
🔴🔴🔴DONATIONS NEEDED 🔴🔴🔴

Our poor boy Junior died today on the table, but was revived.

Junior went home Saturday to his new owners, but unbeknownst to all of us he had a major infection brewing. The owner noticed his tummy had become increasingly more swollen and a hole had appeared on his belly that was leaking pus. It was absolutely horrifying to hear that Junior had basically popped like a balloon!!!

He went in for emergency surgery today and they said that an abcess had ruptured in his stomach causing pus to free flow into his abdomen from what I could understand. That sounds incredibly deadly and septic to me. I'm just trying to visualize and understand what in the world happened.

They went in and flushed out all the pus and gunk in his abdomen and have put him on some very strong antibiotics, however he had a bad reaction to the anathseia. During the surgey he straight up died for a moment.

Thankgod they got him back. He unfortunately also aspirated some vomit while all this was going down which is also pretty dangerous.

From what the vet said he woke up chatty and active for a cat who had just used one of his 9 lives, but he is chesty from aspirating. The next 24 to 48 hours are crucial and if he can pull through or not depending on how much damage was done.

He is spending the night at the vet clinic and they believe he can go home tomorrow. We will be making the trip to Rockhampton to pick him up and bring him back to us so he can recover in experienced care and with access to our vet. We may even leave him with our vet for a few days yet so he can be closely monitored during his recovery. It just depends on how he is doing.

I am very hopeful here. Let's just pray he survives the night.

Junior already has a very large account which has to be paid and his further care will quickly surpass our extremely tight budget at the moment and eat into my personal living expenses which only goes so far.

Please help us cover Junior's vet bill so we can keep fighting for him.

Miss Ellie is a sweet little lady with an inquisitive nature and a beautiful tiger striped coat.

She is very affectionate and loves pats. She rolls around and waves her tail happily while having smooches. She has the most adorable meow. It's like a little mouse squeaking. So cute.

I would describe her as the perfect cat once she gets settled into your home and gets over the change of life jitters.

Ellie was adopted from us as a kitten, but was returned recently because they are moving into a rental without screens.

Ellie is good with other cats and dogs. She is looking for an indoor only home.

Ellie has all her vet work complete and transport is available around QLD.

Mariana, Tisha's mum hasn't had any adoption interest either.

Mariana is a dainty little lady around a year of age. She has a very pleasant quiet nature and enjoys been close to you and showing her affection.

She is still a kitten her self and loves to play and explore her space. She is always down for a game.

She would be good with most familys and is OK with other cats, but doesn't mind being a solo cat either.

Mariana comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, fiv tested and parasite treated to indoor homes.

Transport can be arranged around Qld.

Tisha is the last of her litter looking for a home.

Her three brothers leave for their new homes next week and Tisha doesn't have one yet.

She is going on 15 weeks this Sunday and has just caught up to the size of an 11 to 12 week old kitten. She is such a teeny tiny cute little button. It's surprising such a sweet little girl hasn't had any interest.

She is very independent and has a quiet chilled out nature unlike her pushy hypo brothers. She enjoys having her pleasant quiet time with her humans and warm snuggles and hugs.

Tisha is good with other cats and would suit most familes.

Tisha comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated.

Transport is available around Qld and she is looking for a indoor only home.

Sachi is looking for a forever home or foster carer.

Sachi was owner surrendered to the Warwick pound with no history so we can only guess about her origin.

She is a small well rounded chubby girl who is very sad. She needs some love and care to heal her broken heart. You see glimpses of a happy Sachi sometimes and its so heartwarming. She will stand up and perk up her tail and ears and look at you happily for just a second beofore shutting down again. She needs tender loving care to regain her former self that's hidden beneath.

She is good with other cats, but needs a quiet home without small children.

Sachi is looking for a indoor only home.

Sachi has being desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated.
Transport can be arranged around Qld

Malakai is ready for his forever home.

He recently had his entropian stitches out and is notoriously hard to photograph because his always smooching and rubbing up against everything he can find.

This massive fluffy lad has a very friendly chatty personality and makes his way around the house confidently. He also has a really cute white tail tip like his dipped it in paint which is not common amongst cat colors.

He is a pretty easy going fella and is often passed out in a deep sleep in comfy looking positions that put most yoga practitioners to shame.

Malakai needs to be the only animal in the house and wouldn't work in houses with children as he doesn't have a lot of patience.

Malakai is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV tested and parasite treated.

Transport is available around Qld.

We are looking for a indoor only home for Malakai, but will consider rural homes with this particular cat.

These 3 girls were last litter desexes we did back in late 2021. We rehomed the 14 kittens and fixed up the mamas. Miss Brandy the black girl caused 21 cats to be born in a span of 12 months.

It's come to our attention that the girls have being on thier own for the last few months and have being getting fed between the neighbors. Poor Patch almost starved to death and was deathly thin until she found someone to feed her. Milo is gone and we don't know what happened to her, but can only hope that she found refuge somewhere.

We picked up Patch and Brandy today and they will be looking for homes in the next couple of days once we get to know their personality a bit better.

Available for Preadoption.
Our bottle babies Rain, Wind and Hail are 6 weeks old on Friday and are now up for preadoption going home around 12 weeks.

These guys are stir crazy in love with people and purr so hard they will explode. They are very well socilaised from being my baggage for the last 6 weeks who I take every where with me.

They are little darlings and mummies cute tiny babies.

Sorry for not doing the weekly updates on their growth. My mind feels like it's being in a vegative state since they arrived and they kept me busy with the odd crash once or twice a week.

They did very well though and gained weight at a normal rate and always ate well. We just had lots of troubles getting them to tolerate thier formula. That's all behind us now as these guys are eating multiple cans of mum and bub wet food in a day and dry food now. They are little piggies.

Tisha is the last of her litter to find preadoption.
My pint sized girl is now 13 weeks old. She is so lovely I could talk about her adorablenes all day.

She loves to be carried around like a baby and is super sweet and affectionate. She even has the cutest little meow and sometimes chirps at you.

She is a very well behaved and calm. I rate her a number 1 cat.

Available after the 27th.

This is Ganeshi from Mundubbera. He was a stray kitten who almost had his eye pecked out by a mean group of birds. He has being enjoying the solo kitten life with his foster carer for a few weeks and recently came down to Monto.

He is a lovely boy and has a beautiful friendly temperament. He will make a great companion for someone.
