In light of the impending weather from Cyclone Alfred, we have made the decision to take all our staff off the road to ensure their safety. As a result, our clinic will be closed until Monday, reopening at 8am.

❌ HomeSafe ID is a pet microchip registry that will soon cease to operate.

🐱 What does this mean for you?
It is crucial for all pet owners to check which company their pet’s microchip is registered with, and to change the registration to another company if it is currently through HomeSafe ID. This will help ensure your pet can be quickly reunited with you if they ever go missing.

🐶 How to find out where your pet’s microchip is registered:
If you have your pet’s microchip number, visit www.petaddress.com.au. This website will show you which company currently holds your pet’s records and offer options for transferring their details. It’s also a helpful tool to confirm that your contact information is up to date.

🥳Vet Around the Corner would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! 🎉

Please be aware with Fireworks set to take place all over town this evening, here are a few tips to keep our fur friends calm and comfortable.

🏠 Keep them indoors and secure your yard. Fireworks can often frighten our pets causing them to panic and try to escape.

📞 Check to make sure your pets microchip details are up to date. In the case they do escape, this is the best way vets and local council can reunite them with you.

🐶🐱 Create a safe place for them to retreat if they feel scared. Ensure they have their favourite blanket or toy for comfort.
