Meet George, the adorable 12-year-old Bulldog, who had his first remedial massage and rehabilitation therapy session with Pawpups&Co! 🐾🐶
Leanne worked on George to help him with his arthritis and IVDD helping him to improve his mobility and range of motion.
With each session, we can already see George's progress and his zest for life returning!
He certainly loves his treats at the end of the session and they help keep him pushing through !

🐾🌟 Meet Eddie, the most adorable 12-year-old pug who just had the most incredible experience with Leanne at Pawpups&co's 🐶💆‍♀️

Hey there pawrents! Meet the adorable Keita, who at the time was 4 1/2 months old Golden Retriever who recently developed a limp on her front limb. We had the pleasure of checking her out and although she was more interested in playing than getting a massage, we made sure there was nothing serious going on and prescribed some much-needed rest (if that's even possible for a playful puppy!) Remember, It's always best to have your furry friend checked out by a vet if you're ever concerned about their health. Hey there, fur-tastic friends! 🌟🐾 It's your favorite paw-some therapist here at Pawpups&co Canine Remedial Massage Therapy, and I just have to share this heartwarming moment with you all! ❤️🐾

Every day, as I help these adorable fur babies with their aches and pains, I can't help but feel immense joy when I see those wagging tails and gleaming eyes, knowing that they're feeling much better after a relaxing massage session! 🐾💆‍♂️ But you know what's even more heart-melting? Those slobbery, slobbery doggy kisses I receive at the end of each session! 🐶💦

This is Sweet Savanna and she’s about to celebrate her 9th birthday 🎂 which is 61 in human years.

Savanna has monthly therapy sessions to help with her range of motion and support her ongoing work & training and we’ve seen some great improvement I’ve over that time.

I’m always greeted at the door with a stuffed toy she’s had since she was a puppy, teamed with plenty of muffled barking to ensure she brings me up to speed with things, and when that’s all out of her system she gently settles and allows me to begin treatment. Now she knows what’s going one she very comfortable in letting me know where to start 🐾

Xena had a remedial massage to help with anxiety and relieve muscle tension that was accumulating.

At first she was a bit unsure, however, towards the end she relaxed and enjoyed her massage like a real princess.

Meet the brilliant Bruno.

This sweet 11yo poodle x silky loves to make his mummy happy and is a very well trained boy.

With training the same muscle groups can be worked more than usual, therefore the aim of this massage was to work on relaxing those muscles for Bruno increasing his range of motion and bettering his performance.

It was also a birthday gift from his mummy.

Massage is beneficial for any dog, but especially for pets who may have paralysis.

Canine massage helps to stimulate blood flow to increase blood circulation and improve muscle tone in paralysed pets dealing with muscle atrophy.

With gentle manipulation of the paralysed limbs it can help avoid joints from stiffening due to inactivity as well as taking care of limbs that carry the wheelchair.

This is Jett, the gentle giant. He’s a Great Dane x Bull Arab and when I say he’s gentle that’s an understatement.

Jett greets me at the door and walks me to “he’s spot”, with a slow turn to make sure I’m following. After three treatments I now actually get kisses during his session.

Jett has quiet progressed arthritis and has had since he was 2yo. These massages help his muscles that are working extra hard to support his aching bones in between his treatment with his vet.

This young man has certainly stolen my heart ❤️

Why is massage important when competing ?

Lead up to a competition
Prior to an event, 3-5 days before, a deep tissue massage can be incredibly beneficial. You can release adhesions (or “knots”), relax fatigued muscles, improve your range of motion.

On the day of competition
Increases range of motion, leading to enhanced performance and prevent injuries Improve tissue elasticity, decreased muscle stiffness and Increases levels of relaxation and reduction in physical and psychological stress levels.

After training or competition
Massage reduces muscle fatigue, prevents cramping, increases flexibility and improves endurance
