ADDING A NEW PUPPY TO YOUR HOME - If you are a family thinking of adding a new puppy of any breed to your family please do your research on that breed and think hard and long before committing! Puppies are a long commitment and can sometimes turn your world upside down for a short period of time - you need to be prepared for this! Puppies p**p, wee, cry often, nip, and love to chew on things! They don’t automatically know where they are supposed to toilet and we as humans have to have the time and patience to teach them what and where is appropriate. It isn’t always easy, and some puppies pick these things up sooner than others, just like children, they are all different! Initially, confident personality or not, a puppy can be scared and a little confused as to what’s going on - that is normal - they have just left the only environment they know, their siblings and all that has been familiar to them! Our Australian Labradoodles are intelligent puppies and know that things have changed drastically for them in a very short period of time - all the training in the world does not guarantee a stress free transition! If you have purchased out of state they may have had to travel - this can often cause some puppy stress which in turn can cause a tummy upset - this is also normal and can also happen if moving just around the corner - your puppy is like a little child starting a new school or moving homes - all these things can put stress on your puppy and although outwardly they are looking fine it takes time for them to settle into their new environment. Some do it quicker than others. For those who are lucky enough to have spent money on extra training your puppy may transition easier but after purchasing a puppy that may not be for everyone - in that case you need to be prepared to put in time and energy to train and help adjust your puppy to its new home. That time put in in the early days will benefit you in the long run! Having said all this sometimes they arrive and you have no issues what so ever! Our gorgeous little Snickers now known as Bentley joined his forever family this afternoon. What a joy knowing he's going to a beautiful and loving family. We couldn't ask for anything more! Seeing his new family's faces light up with such joy upon seeing him made the few tears that slipped out all worth it.
