S'Shaada Endurance Arabians "Athleticism...Attitude...Action" The stud itself is run on a total of 56 acres. We take great pride in the consistency and quality of our home bred horses.

S’Shaada Endurance Arabians is owned and operated by Saasha Turrell and Mark Grogan in the scenic Mary Valley Region of SE Queensland. With the combination of easy going trails as well as extremely testing mountains, our country is ideal for the breeding and training of top quality endurance performance horses. Located at Kandanga Creek mid-way between the townships of Amamoor and Imbil, S’Shaada

is an idyllic site, backing on to the Imbil/Kandanga state forest which is also home to the annual Far-A-Way Easter Endurance Carnival. It offers permanent water, reliable rainfall and good quality grass over undulating ground. Our aim is to produce world class endurance athletes of which we would like to see competing around the World for Australia in the not too distant future. At present our stud is still developing, however, we aim to be successful and enthusiastic in all we achieve.

On the 1st of October we took 2 young horses for a big trip down to Wiangaree for their first 80km ride. It was extremely hot conditions so we rode accordingly and were so proud of the boys completing their event.

Kiah Nash riding S'Shaada Canadian Club (Rodborough Chardonnay x S’Shaada An’Taan) and Saasha Grogan riding S'Shaada Veyron (S'Shaada Velvet x S'Shaada An'Taan).

Thanks to Kiah for all her help on the weekend and riding CC so well for us. Thanks to CEN Horse Nutrition for powering the boys along. Hidez Austraila for their hoods and socks. Earthhorse Equipment for our lovely halters and reins.

We recently took Grace and Zephyr to Biggenden to compete in an 80km Endurance event. This was to be their first endurance ride since Winton to Longreach and they were FIT! Unfortunately, after a nice fast first leg, we lost Taylor and Grace with a slightly lame trot out for the vet panel. After many years of competing successfully including marathons, state champs and winton to longreach, this was Taylor's first ever vet out. She took it well and is chomping at the bit for her next chance to compete.

Saasha and Zephyr went back out on the second leg firing and came home the first horse and rider across the finish line.

Thank you must go to all our sponsors including CEN Horse Nutrition, Hidez Austraila, Earthhorse Equipment and Premium Blue. Also to the wonderful Sarah Sullivan Photography and Jane Sheppard for the beautiful photos.

2 weeks after Murrumba Saasha took Blue to Inglewood to compete in the QLD State Championships. Blue hadn't had a lot of preparation for this event having only been in work about 5 weeks, however, we went on the faith that he was an extremely seasoned Endurance horse and with a plan to just go steady. Setting a nice consistent pace of about 13kph, Saasha and Blue came a surprising =4th Middleweight alongside companions Keiran and Dancer. A great, although very hot ride!

Thank you so much to all our sponsors specifically CEN Horse Nutrition for keeping our horses powered for each event!
