Both puppies Miso and Ziggy learnt very quickly to socialise calmly around other puppies which is so important for puppies from a young age to learn to ensure that their socialisation interactions in the future are as positive as possible!

Charlie and Ember have attended 4 contactless social puppy dates and have formed a lovely friendship with one another, they are also both super excited every time they arrive and can’t wait to come into the hospital, which is great to see!.. 🐶
Every social interaction is closely monitored by our puppy preschool trainer ensuring all puppies during their critical socialisation period are having a positive time by keeping interactions short, interactions with and without a barrier and asking each puppy for their attention to keep them refocused to a cue when asked of them. The most common cue used can be sit or their name. This ensures all puppies learn to play nicely, calmly and are able to be redirected to focus on a cue when we ask them to when in the presence of another dog. ✅

Puppies go through a critical socialisation learning stage between the ages of 8-14weeks, it’s so important they have a positive social experience with other puppies during that life stage to ensure they have positive socialisation skills as they grow up
WellPet Vets aren’t able to run in person puppy preschool classes during the current covid lockdown, instead we are offering contactless puppy social dates during this lockdown time so we can ensure puppies are still socialised from a young age 🐾
