After spending two weeks in our Board & Train program, Bear is now back at school, continuing his training to support students in the classroom. We visited him on-site today to ensure his transition has been smooth and to reinforce the skills he developed with us, ensuring he remains steady, responsive, and well-prepared for the challenges of a busy school setting.

A dog in this role needs more than just good obedience - they need to be calm, adaptable, and reliable in a dynamic environment. Bear is on the right track, and with continued training, he’ll be ready to support students with confidence.

Frank, a young Cane Corso Puppy, has started his three-week Board & Train program, focusing on confidence building, exposure, obedience, and manners.

Early development is critical in shaping a stable, well-balanced dog. Over the next few weeks, he’ll be introduced to new environments, experiences, and training that will set him up for long-term success.

Bear has spent the last two weeks with us in our Puppy Program, building confidence, learning solid foundations, and unlearning some… let’s call it ‘creative’ training methods. His owners, with the best intentions, paid for advice from a group claiming dogs shouldn’t be trained with food or ‘bribes,’ as they like to call it. Turns out, the no-food, no-reward approach wasn’t doing him any favours - shocking, right? Thankfully, with the right guidance, he’s back on track now and making great progress!

Sonny, the Weimaraner, is currently enrolled in our Board & Train program, where we are focusing on building calm, neutral responses and achieving a reliable loose-lead walk. Many dogs struggle with overexcitement, reactivity, or pulling on the leash, but with the right structure, consistency, and training, they can become more engaged, well-mannered, and easier to enjoy in everyday life!

Meet Murphy, the little dog with a big attitude! Like many dachshunds, he arrived full of big emotions - separation anxiety, non-stop barking, reactivity to anything and everything, and little confidence to handle the world around him.

That’s exactly why he’s here for a month of Boarding & Training. We’re working to reshape the way Murphy sees the world, helping him find calm in the chaos, confidence in uncertainty, and the ability to exist without feeling the need to react to everything.

Our goal is to turn all that nervous energy into a steady, balanced mindset so he can navigate life with clarity and confidence.

Hank’s Progress So Far!

Just over a week into his Board & Train program, Hank is making great improvements! We’ve been focusing on loose lead walking, place training, and general manners, but the biggest goal has been building his confidence around strangers while helping him stay calm and relaxed.

With two more weeks to go, we’re excited to keep pushing forward and seeing his progress unfold. A well-trained dog is a happier, more balanced companion, and we love being part of that journey. If you’re looking for the same kind of progress with your dog, reach out - we’d love to help.

Arrow and I started working together over six months ago, and throughout that time, he has completed multiple Board & Train programs. Each stay has been an opportunity to refine his skills, reinforce his training, and continue building on his progress.

With consistency, repetition, and structured development over time, Arrow has become more reliable, more controlled, and more confident in different environments.

Meet Leo!

Leo the French Bulldog is currently in our Board & Train program to work on impulse control, especially around young kids playing. His excitement can sometimes get the best of him, so we’re focusing on helping him settle and make better choices.

One of the key skills we’ll be reinforcing is a strong place command, teaching him to remain calm and in control, no matter what’s happening around him. This will be just one part of a structured approach to improving his behaviour and setting him up for long-term success.

You may ask what impulse control is?

In this context, impulse control refers to Leo’s ability to regulate his excitement and reactions, particularly in stimulating environments - like when kids are running around and playing. Without impulse control, a dog may jump, chase, bark, or get overly excited in ways that can be overwhelming or unsafe.

By teaching Leo impulse control, we’re helping him learn to pause and think before acting, rather than reacting immediately to movement or excitement. A strong place command will play a big role in this, giving him a designated spot where he learns to stay calm and composed, even when there’s a lot happening around him.

The goal is for Leo to remain relaxed and well-mannered, no matter the distractions!

Yuki has just completed our 4 week Board & Train program. During her stay, we addressed separation anxiety, built her confidence, and focused on foundational skills such as place training, crate training, loose lead walking, and recall.

We also worked on structured exposure and socialisation to ensure she’s well-prepared for real-world environments. Yuki is now equipped with the tools she needs to prosper in a balanced and confident way.

It’s been great having Harlow back with us in our Board & Train program over the past couple of weeks! We’ve worked with him since he was a puppy, and now at 3 years old, he’s grown into such a calm, open, and amazing dog. Credit to his owners for raising him so well, and to for breeding this incredible boy!

Stella has just wrapped up her first Board & Train program with us! Over the past year, we’ve worked with her through one-on-one lessons, starting when she was just a little pup.

Staffies often show signs of separation anxiety, but not Stella - she’s a confident and independent girl. Whether she’s snuggled up on Mum or Dad’s lap or relaxing at home on her own, she’s perfectly content.

We’re excited to see Stella again in a few weeks for her follow-up lesson to keep building on her progress!

Tank is nearing the end of his 3-week program with us, focusing on achieving stimulus control. This training has been all about helping him remain calm, focused, and responsive in a variety of situations.

Blue has just wrapped up two weeks in our Puppy Board & Train program! He’s off to an incredible start in life, building positive associations with the world through plenty of exposure and learning essential manners - all while keeping his fun and spunky personality intact!

Meet Remy, currently in our Board & Train program. While he’s not always reactive to people, he’s highly reactive to other dogs, making walks stressful and overwhelming. He often jumps when guests enter the home, although he’ll eventually calm down and settle when directed.

Challenging behaviours like these can feel overwhelming, but with consistent training and structure, we’re confident in his potential for transformation. Stay tuned for his progress!
