Sorry we have been quiet lately, have been extremely busy!

BUT not to fear! We are hoping to confirm Arubas next litter of puppies next Monday! So keep your 👀 peeled for that announcement and 🤞🏼

We are so happy to get lots of updates from our Puppy owners and are loving watching them all grow and seeing their adventures and mischievous antics 💖

Once we have confirmed a litter I will start contacting everyone who has sent an EOI 😊

Cocker Spaniel Breed Highlight

Cocker Spaniels were developed in Britain and were originally known as the wood-cocking spaniel because of their ability to go through the undergrowth and flush out the Woodcock bird.

Known as the “Merry Cocker”, this little dog is friendly, affectionate and loyal, with an ever-wagging tail. He is an intelligent animal and is easy to train, happy to work and happy to play.

The Cocker Spaniel sheds twice a year and unless he is clipped off, this long, silky coat will require regular and thorough grooming to prevent matting and tangling.

Cocker Spaniels thrive on human company and make excellent companions for almost everyone. They will suit an active family as well as less active seniors. Cockers are renowned for loving their food and diligence is required to ensure they do not become overweight. They can do almost anything including obedience and other dog sports such as Agility, Flyball, and Conformation dog shows, as well as being a lovable pet.

☀️ If it is over 25 degrees, it is a good idea to do a sidewalk 'test’. Before heading for a walk, try and hold the palm of your hand on the pavement for five seconds. If it is too hot for you, it is too hot for your dog's paws to walk on.

⛅️Make sure your Pups have plenty of water, shade and a cool place to escape the heat.

🔥 NEVER leave your dog in the car, even at 25 degrees internal car temperatures can quickly become unbearable.

🧴 Some lighter coloured pups will also require sunscreen on their noses when outside.

🚨 Look for signs of heatstroke. Dogs suffering from heatstroke can have elevated breathing rates, dry or sticky gums, abnormal gum color, bruising in the gums, may appear lethargic or disoriented, little to no urine output, excessive drooling, vomiting or diarrhoea, and can have seizures. ☀️
