So it’s been a bit of a sad time here for us . We got contacted by a lady in Tasmania that had rescued one of our first ever Southland bulldog puppies . No matter how hard you try to find out about potential buyers sometimes a bad one slips through , this is our first experience at a bad buyer , and it has really knocked our socks off . We started breeding because we love our dogs , they live inside they eat better than us , no $$ is too much to spend on them if they are ill or need worming or vaccines ! To have a buyer tell you all the right answers and also be recommended by another breeder , then to treat our baby like she was treated is devastating to say the least 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 Bella had a few lovable months with Jess and her sister Zoe before finally passing away at 4 yrs old , she should of had at least another 9/10 years of life 😢you can tell by pics how bad her life had been , sleeping on rags at the back door , no shelter ... makes me ficking mad as hell !!! First 2 pics are when the girls rescued her second 2 are after a month of caring for her , but sadly she had not been properly fed or wormed , had ear infections , her she couldn’t even eat a proper meal when they first got her . She started to look great , but had a fit one night and sadly didn’t make it . .... Dont get a dog if it’s not going to be part of your family .

Finally his other ear came up this morning .... has taken what felt like forever , I know other breeders say it can take to 15 weeks but wow this was a first for us . 🥰🥰🥰 .. isn’t he adorable and his mummy was so excited to send us the pic 😊

This was just posted on another page , breeding French bulldogs is like no other breed ( except British) . This is why the cost of raising these litters is a lot more than other breeds .

Please help .... So disappointed. Tell me I’m not alone. Our first French litter (hubby has bullies, i raised Yorkies a while back). We have had just a terrible stroke of luck. 9 puppies via csection. One didn’t make it out. Happens freqently. Nbd. We lost two that were runtish in size after week or so which I attributed to natural selection but we even tried to Syringe feed those. and 3 that seemed perfectly fine. We assumed mom squished although we have a nice whelp box. Today after noticed a lump on kneck of my keeper we drove over hour to vet ( said puppy strangles). And the least healthy pup he said had pneumonia as well as the favorite. So that leaves on healthy pup and 2 semi sick. We lost the lump kneck puppy my favorite on the way home although she seemed to be doing SO much better. Lump gone and everything. And now 7 hours later 2nd semi sick passed. Leaving the one healthy. I had checked the roof of their mouth for palate problems but just so happened to look way back on dead puppy mouth to find a small hole in back corner. Could this be soft palate ? We are wondering if this was the issue with whole litter and what can be done to prevent it? Any advice for new into frenchies?? We will be ordering feeding tubes this week and already purchased incubator. PLEASE HELP. we love ours as pets and are heartbroken
