Just an update, we are still not back in our home, it’s coming along slowly due to unexpected hiccups (termite damage and asbestos). Hope to be back home by first week of June. Unfortunately won’t be able to take in any pampered pooches for a little while, due to a new roof going on the house, our back pergola had to be removed and it will be some time before a new one is completed. It will be ok if the weather is fine though. Large dog run will be available from about mid June, when our unexpected guests (2 lovely border collies and 2 smoochy cats) finally get to see their owners upon their long awaited return from England - return trip from 2nd April cancelled! Cats will be welcome again from mid June too. Thanks to my boys Jeremy and Aidyn for looking after them while they stay upstairs at home during the Reno’s. Lastly hope everyone is coping with the isolation ok, to be honest I’ve quite enjoyed it considering..... hope to see you and your furry and feathered friends soon ###

With great sadness I cancelled my last clients today. Due to the severe damage to our house from the storm, having to relocate temporarily (who knows for how long), and final straw the Corona virus, I can’t give the usual care that I do to my little furry friends. I wish you xx all the very best and hope to see you All again in the near future ###

I don’t know where else to post this but hoping some of my regulars may put this out to friends and family in the disaster zones. I currently have room for up to 3 families of cats (2 in each pen) and after the 6th can fit another couple. The digs aren’t huge but they are comfy and safe, so much better than a cage in an evacuation center or back of a car. Unfortunately I can’t place any dogs at the moment but next week I may be able to help out. I also have a 3 different size bird cages and access to others to house small to large birds. Please contact me if you know someone that needs help. I’m hoping that if they can’t get the pets here we can piggy back them with one of the many donation loads on their way home and meet up somewhere. I may be heading up Friday with donations of vet supplies if the Moe vets needs more vehicle space, so could pick up pets then.

This gorgeous boy is the lovely ‘Chino’. Chino comes to stay regularly when his parents go away, he was a rescue kitten I raised, and has been coming for so long that he free roams when here, strolls around enjoying the freedom and puts himself to bed when he’s exhausted. He’s also a bit of a celebrity, having somehow ending up in Queensland and after going missing from his home in Collingwood. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/the-best-cat-story-ever-will-have-a-happy-ending/news-story/de44d728ff424722dbeab7663d484dff
