Join Neighbours for United Climate Action (NUCA) for their upcoming Community Climate Action Series event about Food Security and the Food Supply Chain on Saturday 14th November at 2pm.
Chris Ennis from CERES Environment Park will be running this session, giving us the lowdown about insecurities in the food system and ways to improve our food supply chain. Leila Alexandra, Growing Farmers Treasurer, will also be speaking more about us and what we are up to at the moment. It’s sure to be a great event. Follow the link below to register:

Here's a little #biodiversity in the backyard. Allowing plants to go to flower and seed is a small local action you can take to help the system out. Some benefits include attracting extra pollinators and saving your own seed. It's a combination of small and big actions that contribute to a more food secure future for us all.
Bababi Djinanang Grasslands
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we will soon farm, the area now known as Fawkner. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. They have sustainably harvested food for thousands of years on this land. Our hope is to gain deeper understanding and move towards greater action for Indigenous sovereignty as we continue to develop our projects on these sacred lands. Sovereignty was never ceded and we can't shy away from the fact that we continue to farm on stolen land.
This video was taken at Bababi Djinanang which lies on the Merri Creek, in the area now known as Fawkner. It means Mothers Foot in Wurundjeri and forms part of less than 1% of native grasslands left in Victoria.
