We had another great day at Canadian Lead this week celebrating Book Week with the students! Some of our tasks included:
- being read to.
- playing in the sandpit.
- going for a lot of walks.
- having some welfare chats.
- learning phonics and letter formations.
- being patted.
- being patted some more.
- playing fetch at recess and lunchtime.
- doing some circus activities.
- and reading some more.

We love spending time with all your students, Canadian Lead Primary School! 🙂

Pauley came along to Blizzard’s run coaching this morning 🙂 if anyone on this page is interested in upping their fitness with a super supportive, kind, knowledgeable run coach, Sue is the person!!! Pre this last lockdown, I couldn’t run 90 seconds, now I’m running 5k in 26 minutes. 🙂 life is good! Reach out to Sue- you won’t be disappointed. (Oh it’s also super affordable! You get an individual run plan written out for you, as well as a 1-1 hour weekly coaching session with her, all for just $15! Jump on it!)

Pauley has a new name ;) 'The minister for happiness' so named by his usual place of residence: Ararat 800 P.S. Pauley is booked out for every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next Term. Fridays are still available for schools. And Sundays are available for nursing homes. Feel free to reach out if you're looking for some happiness around your setting.

Pauley and I would like to welcome you to our very own Therapy dog page! Pauley is a four-year-old cream standard poodle with a loveable, chilled nature. He has worked in many primary schools, several high schools, numerous nursing homes and has even attended some funerals. His "work" includes playing fetch, going for slow-paced walks with the elderly, or fast/normal-paced walks with kids, being petted, saying "hi" to everyone, and just generally making life feel better. He is qualified as an Advanced Therapy Dog through the organisation Lead the Way - a therapy dog accrediting agency in Melbourne. His general obedience and listening skills are excellent.
And now that you've heard about the star, now for the handler :) My name is Annie Silva. I am a Primary School Teacher, Chaplain, dog trainer and hold a Masters degree in International and Community development. I have worked in numerous primary schools and several high schools as a teacher, and as a well-being officer. I have also worked in several nursing homes as a Chaplain. Like Pauley, I seek to bring joy, enthusiasm, comfort and care to every workplace I enter.
Pauley and I are currently in the Western-Victorian area and are happy to take bookings if you would like to have us make a day trip to your organisation/setting.
