Hi everyone, as a pet sitter this is my busiest day of the year ensuring all pets are safe and secured this evening. I'll be securing many dogs throughout the day in homes, garages and sheds.
As a local rescue volunteer with an amazing team, I'll also be online most of the evening and into the early hours of tomorrow morning assisting with the welfare needs of displaced animals due to illegal fireworks and the reckless people that cause them.
Please keep your fur babies safe.

We've had some baby birds born in our garden. They are now fledglings and are doing great, except for this little guy. He was born with one eye which has delayed his development considerably. His mum & dad bring him fat juicy worms & insects all day, but his focus to feed is difficult, as is his ability to learn to fly. I have scooped him up off the road several times this morning. He will not survive in the big world with all the risks & challenges of finding food, flying, being safe and being aware of predators. After spending most of yesterday on the phone to so many rescues and being told they were full or couldn't help....I was feeling awful. This morning I received a text from a rescue to say they will take him, I am so grateful. We drove little guy there this evening. This is the best outcome we could have had ♥️
UPDATE The carer just called me to say that little guy is actually completely blind and it's amazing he had survived until now. He is in the best hands and is talking lots 💕
