We are thrilled to announce that The Lees Hairy ( Mulcra Sargent/The Lees Reg) has delivered 7 pups by Gogetta Rippa ( Brokenriver Bank/Gogetta Talent) , she delivered them on the 15-16/02/25.

These pups are our foundation litter, and we are excited to see how they will progress in their potential working employment.

All pups will be sold to working homes only.

Both parents fulltime working in farm/contract jobs and competing in Maiden/Novice level at yard dog trials throughout VIC and NSW. Both parents are CA Tested and clear

The Lees Hairy has consistently placed at Maiden/Novice Level. The Lees Hairy has great work ethic and has handy strong presence in paddock with big muster mobs and is handy in yard work with her smart quick responses and also has been on cattle droving them from paddock to paddock. Has mustered cattle and sheep through tricky terrain. Has a sensible head on her shoulders.

Gogetta Rippa started his trialling last year and was consistently hitting high scores. Gogetta Rippa has sensible strong paddock sense and is handy in the yards with backing, barking and top knotting. Also sensible head on shoulders through tricky terrain , has blind casted and will bring back mob as a whole.

We are pleased to announce that The Lees Hairy (Mulcra Sargent/The Lees Reg) is expected to whelp shortly, following a successful joining with Gogetta Rippa (Brokenriver Bank/Gogetta Talent). Both Hairy and Rippa are full-time working dogs, tasked with managing sheep and cattle. Hairy has demonstrated exceptional versatility in yard, paddock, and muster work. Similarly, Rippa has proven to be an accomplished all-rounder, excelling in yard and paddock work. Both dogs have also shown considerable promise in yard dog trials, achieving high scores and placements. For further information, please contact us directly.

After an emergency consultation on Saturday Hairy is off to have surgery today,after working a week in NSW. She doesn’t back down when a ewe decides to head butt her that’s for sure. She got a nasty split on the eyelid and an ulcer in her eye, thankfully she didn’t have Glaucoma which was initially our concern. Vet is quietly confident she can repair her eye area and also repair the ulcer over time. Hopefully the ulcer has gone down with the eye ointment over the last couple of days. Will know more after surgery today.
She’s loved being inside though prior to surgery as vet wanted her to stay as quiet as possible. She won’t like it after recovery period on being outside.

Day 1 of visits to the vet this week.

These 3 ventured up to the Lancefield Yard Dog Trial last weekend competing in both the Maiden and Novice section, with Gogetta Rippa and The Lee’s Hairy picking up 5th and 6th in both classes respectively out of 50 odd runs.

The Lee’s Hairy had a cracking run of 84, using calm strength to punch them around the circuit. Yes, she has calmed down!! 😂

Gogetta Rippa was next up for Merrimajeel Working Stock Dogs team and was his typical methodical self, moving the woolly merinos around with minimal fuss in only his 6th trial for a score of 85. He comes from good stock this fella, Broken River Bank being his ol’man.

The Lee’s May had a couple of issues with the sheep blocking up so Shell chose to retire her rather than compound the issue, putting her ego second.

This trio had a big workload the week prior to the trial , pushing 10,000 lambs over the scales in 2 and a 1/2 days, so did very well winding down for the trial.

These 3 did me proud this week , contracted to push up lambs to the bulk handler and clipex for weighing , they worked solidly for 2 and a half days loading yards and backed the bulk handler and race to the clipex to put through 10000 lambs.

Super proud of the trio.

Boort Yard Dog Trial.
Once again due to high numbers of entries only 2 dogs per handler.
Running in the novice, The Lee’s Hairy had a couple of ‘hairy’ moments resulting in her score of 65 while The Lee’s May proved her consistency with a nice run finishing with an 81.

I came home smiling as did the dawgs, happy days!! 😊👍

The Lee’s May and The Lee’s Hairy had a nice little run at the Swan Hill Yard Dog Trial on the weekend.

I ventured up to the Horsham Yard Dog Trial on the weekend, with all 3 dogs having a run in the maiden/novice and May being fortunate enough to be allowed to have a run in the Improver.

The Lee’s Hairy scored an 86 in the Maiden/Novice, this handy little bitch has matured somewhat and is starting to settle which is reflected in her result.

Gogetta Rippa had a decent run with a score of 75, the lad’s coming along nicely with only five trials under his belt.

The Lee’s May did very well in the Improver with a score of 72 but wasn’t her day in the M/N finishing with a 66. She was in work mode and wasn’t taking any crap!! 😂

As always, a cracking trial run by the Horsham mob.

Well done crew and thanks to Hypro for fueling the hounds and Dawn2Dusk Australia for keeping them tethered!! 😊👍

Although Gogetta Rippa has been with us for a short time so far, he has already displayed remarkable footwork and abilities in both practical work scenarios, such as handling large mobs and persevering through extended, challenging days in yards, and the trial arena, where he is participating in his second trial, and we are encouraged by his potential.

This is his maiden run in Osullivans Transport Central Victorian Yard Dog Trial at The Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show.

So had a fantastic few days at Bendigo doing the dog trials, with the 4 dogs , wasn’t our weekend unfortunately due to some silly mistakes from me.

So Bootz is officially hanging up his trialling ‘boots’, fitting really as years ago Bendigo was his first trial.
