KINTAMANI SILVER MARKSMAN
01-09-2008 ~ 20-11-2024
Last week our hearts were broken, we lost our beautiful Mack.
We are utterly devastated at his untimely passing.
It has been so hard to put it into words, he was my unicorn, my best mate. My big pony. I could live forever in those big liquid eyes. He was everybody’s friend.
He was the centre piece of the farm. The first thing to greet you as you drove through the gates. He was always up for a game, chasing the kids up and down the driveway on their bikes, fooling around with his paddock mate- Pickles the Lamb, doing zoomies with Bear the dog, he even loved a game with his traffic cone, cantering around the paddock with it high above his head and karate kicking at imaginary enemies trying to take it.
He loved the kids, always happy to see them and race over to have a pat and a carrot over the fence. He happily shared his breakfast with the chickens, he was such a gentle soul for being such a big powerful horse.
He loved to race the buggy to his feed bin every day, eagerly awaiting its appearance from the shed.
There was always a performance at dinner time. HE LOVED his dinner.
He loved to be ridden around the front lawn ba****ck for a pick of green grass.
He LOVED a grooming session, his head would drop and he would go all doe eyed like he had been sedated. He never wanted us to stop, following and nudging us asking for more.
He gave the best hugs.
The farm is so quiet without him, he was such a presence, a big personality. The way he moved across his paddock to greet everyone both two legged and four, he had everyone in awe. Man what a horse, so much power yet so much softness.
We had so many plans, so many more things to do. Many more trails to explore, more babies to make, more photoshoots, more ba****ck front lawn grazing, more grooming sessions more carrots to share with the kids.
I thought we had so much more time.
He is buried in the centre of his paddock, we will get him a big shady tree.
Rest in peace beautiful boy, till we meet again….
