🌞 Keep your furry friends safe this summer! 🌞

With the temperatures rising, it's crucial to ensure our pets stay safe and comfortable in the summer heat. Heat stroke can be life-threatening for dogs if they are not properly looked after and signs of heat stress are not recognised.

Here are some easy tips to protect your furry friends from heat stroke:

1️⃣ Hydration is key: Make sure your pup has access to fresh, cool water at all times. Dehydration can escalate quickly in the heat.

2️⃣ Limit exercise: Avoid vigorous exercise during the hottest parts of the day. Opt for early morning or late evening walks when it's cooler.

3️⃣ Shade and cool spaces: Create shady spots in your yard and ensure your dog has a cool place to rest indoors. A kiddie pool can also be a fun way for them to cool off!

4️⃣ Never leave your furry friends in a hot car: Even with the windows cracked, the temperature inside a car can soar to dangerous levels.

5️⃣ Recognise signs of heat stroke: Excessive panting, drooling, rapid heartbeat, lethargy – these are signs of heat stroke. If you notice these signs, get your pup to a cooler place and contact your vet immediately.
