First off, HAPPY 2023! I hope it's been treating y'all well thus far. As much as I would like to avoid this, prices for Romp & Stroll Doggo Services will be increasing from 1st of March. Please review the updated services as they detail the new costs and feel free to get in touch with any questions or concerns. As always, my main priority is keeping the services accessible and sustainable so I am always open to discussion if need be. She’s literally a walkin, sniffin, smilin, cute af heart explosion on four legs… not even lying, my heart legit explodes in my chest… ya just can’t help but to instantly fall in love with this bubba!!

Hello out there!! Just an update, I'm moving to a new payment system to make things a bit easier for everyone. Please download the app Beem It and moving forward I will send out a request for payment alongside a description that outlines/itemizes the cost of each doggo visit on the Friday of that week and/or on the final day of overnights. You can find the app wherever you download apps on your mobile phone. Please reach out if you have any issues or questions, or if you would simply prefer to pay in cash. "Despite the fact that recent studies have reevaluated hierarchy models and have modified our understanding of behavior in the wild wolf, the concept of a hierarchal relationship among dogs and humans continues to be perpetuated. To ensure a well functioning family group, a family needs to know more about canine behavior than outdated strategies focusing on pack structure. In fact recent research has clearly indicated that the longstanding theory which maintained that alpha wolves control through aggression and relentless management is more myth than fact. These theories have been refuted by wolf biologists and if this theory is no longer considered true for wolves, then how can it be considered true for our dogs? New research on canine learning patterns indicates dogs understand us far better than we understand them."

I've come across far too many trainers who practice this type of training, a type of training based on fear tactics (read: cruelty) to enforce on the dog that YOU are their alpha (read: bullying).

I urge you to have a look at the article below to learn more about the problematic idea of pack mentality and training styles based around it (dominance hierarchy based training) and trying to 'alpha' your dog.

If you are involved with a trainer who practices this type of training with you and your doggo.... RUN.
