🐨 We are excited to have partnered with Port Stephens Koala Hospital! 🐨

Our veterinary team will be gaining invaluable hands-on experience at the purpose-built hospital and learning about industry leading treatments to care for our Australian wildlife.

This will allow us to provide a higher patient standard of care to our sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife that is brought into the clinic. This partnership shares the common goal of increasing rehabilitation rates & giving koalas the best opportunity to be returned to the wild, with minimum human contact so they can continue to live their life in their native environment, wherever possible 🫶
Dr Lacy and practice manager Amy went and visited the koala hospital to witness the amazing impact the team are having in saving these beautiful animals.

About the hospital:
Port Stephens Koala Hospital (PSKH) rescues, protects, cares for and rehabilitates koalas so they can thrive in their natural habitat.
In 2017 a simple demountable shed with four rehabilitation yards was the central location for housing equipment and organising volunteers. Fast forward to 2023 and the site now houses a purpose-built Wildlife Hospital and rehabilitation facility, with fully integrated display enclosures and rehabilitation yards, so that whatever care a koala needs, they can be treated in one place. It is run by a passionate team of highly trained vets and vet nurses along with volunteers who help provide additional care and support.

How can you support the PSKH?
It is important to us here are Greenhills Veterinary Hospital, to give back to our local community & help protect our precious wildlife. If you would like to support the amazing work that the PSKH do, there are a couple of ways you can help:
