Happy New Year to everyone 😊 sorry I’ve been a bit MIA taking as much of a break as I can before our year begins 😂

Ketura is still looking for his herd, I would love for him to find his herd before I add him into the big buck pasture so I am currently offering super sale discounts for Ketura (with a lil bit extra off) before he moves into that pasture.

Ketura is a gorgeous boy loaded with amazing genetics; he has 4 recently imported bucks in his immediate pedigree.

Ferntree Hill Lucien - Available (heavily reduced to move)

Originally I thought Lucy looked red/gold but now he’s looking like he’s also chocolate gold.

Lucy has a fantastic personality, he’s long bodied and very level. He’s really small so if you’re trying to reduce height in your herd Lucy might be just the buck for you. Only selling as I have retained Ferntree Hill Dorian and we just don’t need similar genetics in another buck here.

Ferntree Hill Aelins third freshening udder - I adore this doe so much. The photos really don’t do any justice to how large this udder is. Milked out 1.8-1.9 litres today.

It’s such a well attached udder that doesn’t shift while she walks and she hasn’t lose a single bit of attachment over the last 3 freshenings.

Tricky is slowly growing into his own - he’s starting to flourish with a lovely level top line, long shallow rump and a lengthening body that suggests he will be quite lovely and long. Great spring of rib and fabulous straight legs. He has that super soft fur with super loose dairy skin we’ve been breeding into our herd. He has won the award for the sweetest and most gentle buck kid this year.

I added a new upgrade to the barn today, safe to say I think they love it 😂. Going from very cold temperatures up to the 30’s relatively quickly (and a few of our goats still having their winter Woolies).

I’ve been planning for a fan for years and this year just seems it’s going to be extra warm. Now to add another (smaller) one on the other side of the barn 🤩

Ketura is a combination of both parents being second consecutive AI kids (I've added his pedigree in comments); he has loads of amazing udders in his pedigree and his dam Elentiya is looking like she's going to be a big milker (she has produced wonderfully so far on her first lactation). His sister Ferntree Hill Oraya won x2 First Place ribbons at Lilydale Show (with both AGB and DGSA) and came away with reserve champion kid at only 10 weeks old! His dam Elentiya also came away with a champion ribbon.

This boy has an absolutely amazing dam; one of our best, she is structurally fantastic, long bodied, refined, great angulation, shallow rump. She has a high/ large capacity udder with large easy to milk teats that are placed so well. Her fore-attachment is to die for (plus she has fantastic side and top attachment). Boo himself is amazing - I watch him on a daily basis wishing he was a doe 😂. The way he holds himself, his top line is fantastic, his pin bones are fantastic which also means great angulation. He has super soft and loose dairy skin, just everything about him is perfect.
