🎖County Of Cumberland Branch Show🎖

Kicking off our show season for 2024/25 and it was a great one to start with!
The county always puts on a great program especially for the youngsters!

Emma competed in the 3yr old futurity on Lone Pine Mersey and in the Encouragement Challange on Lone Pine Stella.
She Placed 4th Overall with Mersey and took out the win in the Encouragement Challange with Stella.

The little kids had such a good time!
Heidi and Lone Pine Peggy started with the open mare classes, these classes were HUGE!
She claimed 2nd in the Heritage Mare
She competed in the Under 13 Challange and took 3rd place overall.
Tess and Lone Pine Alice are still finding their groove but they are improving with each ride. Tess just loved being out there!
Although you couldn't wipe the smile off her face when she took 1st place in the under 13 Jr Judging, she was over the moon when she received her first horse trophy!

A trip down memory lane

Lone Pine LT, our foundation sire.
He was a pleasure to show and was highly successful winning at all levels including supreme
Led at Sydney Royal 2 years running.

He has sired some incredible horse including Lone Pine Miss Elle, Lone Pine Glory, and Lone Pine Flyn, just to name a few.

His blood lines run strong within Lone Pine Stud and his legacy will live on for many years to come.

𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴 - 5𝘠𝘖 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦

Winners of last year's Triple Crown Series LONE PINE ALICE - HSH and Ken Turner have returned in 2024 to be sashed the Affinity Equine Insurance 5YO Challenge champions.

By LONE PINE FLYN - HSH from LONE PINE FABLE - HSH, the home-bred mare has been incredibly consistent this week, placing second in the Hack, equal second in the Working, third in the Led, fourth in the Time Trial and equal fifth in the Cattle Work sections.

The pairing also receive awards for Highest-Placed Heritage Stock Horse and Highest-Placed Mare. They take home a stallion service fee to STRUAN PARKS JUST LOOKING - HSH donated by Lesley Smith and Jay Charnock, a trophy rug and garland.

We love receiving updates on our Lone Pine Horses!

Lone Pine Beth was sold at the sale earlier this year, she has settled in well at her new home and is already kicking goals! Taking out Champion Novice Hack at the Hunter branch show and winning the open Hack at Muswellbrook show! Congratulations Loretta & Beth, already making a great team!
She is such a beautiful mare, a hard one to let go of, but as breeders we can’t keep them all!

This years FOY Sale was definitely a tough one, and were hoping that this cheque would be a little bit bigger!

But it warms our hearts to know that any donation big or small will go directly to helping children and their families fighting cancer. It was great chatting with Angela from about all the events they have in the pipeline from zoo days to a big retreat that she is personally involved in organising.

We thank her for taking the time to come and meet us and of course Lone Pine Phoenix. And a big Thankyou Mark Barton and the team at Nutrien Equine - Performance for waiving their commission fee and of course to the new owners of this beautiful gelding!
