Have you ever heard of an Alaskan Klee Kai? Neither had I until this handsome guy came to stay. So far other than being very cuddly and talkative he is a very smart, intelligent and obedient dog. Loving my time with him 🥰

We had the pleasure of looking after Stella for 10 days while her parents went away for a much deserved holiday. It is our third time looking after Stella and each time we get that phone call to book her in the count down begins, we can't wait. She is so gentle and cheeky with a playful streak that we love.😍

My story of looking after pets was one of pure accident. I am a mother of two teenage boys but I was also a mum to two gorgeous loyal Staffy x Bulldogs called Cza Cza and Bogart. As you can imagine they were a big part of my life and shared many important moments with me. They were the ear I needed when I wanted to vent, they were the shoulder to cry on when life got a little too heavy and they were the security my family needed, always.

I was fortunate enough to have grown up with a few family pets and I always thought that their lives were way too short compared to ours. When I was told that my boy dog, Bogart had cancer at the age of 14 I was devasted. Imagining life without him brought me to tears. The decision to let him live out his life without evasive surgery was an easy one. When our previous dog got ill, we decided that surgery was a good option and even though it gave us a few more years with him it was really hard to watch him go through the recovery and I swore I would never to do that again.

Bogart and Cza Cza grew up together and were the same age, they didn’t know life without each other. Not long after the cancer diagnosis with Bogart Cza Cza slowly stopped eating. It was like she knew that his time was coming soon and she didn’t want to be here without him. The Vet couldn’t explain it and offered to run some tests but they showed nothing. I truly believe she wanted to go with him.

Although it was the hardest day of my life saying good bye to them on the same day was the best thing I could have done for them.

Almost a year has passed and I'm still not ready to get another dog but I still have a lot of love to offer a dog which is how I got into dog sitting. On the rare occasions I went away I remember the anxious feeling I would get about leaving my dogs in the care of someone else. Boarding kennels were never an option, I wanted to leave my dogs with someone that loved and cared for them like I did in a home environment full of family love and that was hard to find.

I have been dog sitting for a while now and I love it. I have had the pleasure of caring for many different breeds and getting to know each dog's personality and habits is so much fun. I treat them like I would my own and that means sharing a couch and yes at times the end of my bed. They do school drop offs and pickups, sporting events and beach walks.

My service consists of one-on-one sitting. I don’t take multiple bookings and I send through photos and updates on how your dog is going.

I hope to have the pleasure of looking after your dog one day soon.
