Brigadoon 2022 ✨
Super proud of our efforts at brigadoon a couple of weekends ago! Sat 13th after dressage in a big 80cm ott class. Definitely was a personal best dressage scoring two 8s!! Showjumping we absolutely aced being the only combination to go double clear in our class jumping up to 4th. Cross country we flew out of the start box and we were feeling really confident, sadly sass had other ideas and thought it would be fun if I went over the jump and he didn’t. Being the last competition of the season disappointed we couldn’t get through the finish flags, onto 2023 🎉

Bit of a late post but we had Taminga showjumping 2 weeks ago.
After a disappointing 85 round due to me not giving him the right line we had an eventful 95 but got around just happy that we completed it.

Super proud of Sass’s efforts this weekend. He exceeded all my expectations and absolutely blew me away, after 2 years of pretty much straight showjumping and some convincing I thought I’d chuck him in the eventing ring and see how he handled it.

Dressage has never been our strong point and our class was massive with 40 riders in it so I had no expectations of him in the dressage and I was going to be happy to get it over and done with. Well did he absolutely kill it. To other people it might have looked pretty average but I was so proud of him and so happy to come out of that dressage with a 66.56% which left us with 33.4 penalties sitting in 21st

Showjumping I knew we were going to fly around it as we had dropped down to a 65 for Harvey. He was definitely on his toes but managed to go around double clear jumping us to 9th

Cross country I was nervous for as it was his first eventing start. He knew what his job was and he wanted to get it done, the one minute count down to the start box felt like the longest minute as he just wanted to go. We absolutely flew around cross country and we were going clear and I was so happy until we got to the second last jump and I realised I missed jump 14ab. I was absolutely devastated as I went through the finish flags as sass didn’t put a foot wrong and my mistake cost us a place.

All in all I’m so proud of sass and I’m excited for Brigadoon in 4 weeks time. Thankyou to Amy, Daina and Catherine for all the help and support over the weekend. Thankyou to mum obviously for being my Uber to and from Harvey. Thankyou Rebecca Flavel from Pimp my Pony - Tack and Horse Care for the retail therapy over the weekend. Lastly Thankyou to my sponsor Koala Solar.

Coming into the competition season I’m sure people are finding it hard to make time to ride their horses, so I am available to come and work them for you. I am experienced and able to deal and work with difficult horses.
