The announcement you have all been waiting on. We are pleased to present the s*x linked cinnamon rainbow lorikeet. This has been a 10 year breeding program to establish this colour. We started with one hen and now have several pairs producing cinnamon. We now have them in normal cinnamon, dominant pied, cinnamon jade and cinnamon grey green. In the not to distant future we will have them in recessive pied in both normal cinnamon and cinnamon grey green, also cinnamon lutino. The possible combinations are almost endless. These are NOT dilute, cinnamon is a s*x linked gene the same as lutino. However it changes the colour of existing mutations. The chicks hatch with light feet, light down and plum coloured eyes which darken as they get older. Like all rainbows it takes around two years for them to colour up. There are exiting times ahead as we establish new combinations. There is limited hens available, if anyone is interested in a new venture.
