One of the most common myths I hear is: “Fresh food is not safe for pets.”
The truth is that it can absolutely be safe and very beneficial, but only when done properly.
Fresh food does not mean giving table scraps. It means providing balanced meals designed for your pet’s specific needs. To achieve that, some key practices are essential:
Use high-quality ingredients suitable for dogs and cats
Wash fruit and vegetables properly
Store correctly in the freezer or fridge
Follow proper proportions and, when needed, add supplementation
Always seek professional guidance to design the meal plan
When these practices are followed, fresh feeding becomes one of the most effective ways to improve skin, energy, digestion, and even behaviour.
Whenever someone asks me, I always say: fresh food can be safe, as long as it is done responsibly and with the right guidance.
And if you would like to understand how to apply this to your pet’s routine, I am here to help.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who joined my Inside the Gut Masterclass.
It was truly special to be with pet parents who believe in prevention and are willing to learn so they can give their animals more health and quality of life.

Every time I see carers preparing themselves to look after their pets in a conscious way, it reinforces my belief that we are on the right path.
It is a privilege to share knowledge with people who trust my work and, above all, love their four-legged companions.

Thank you so much for your trust and for being part of this session.

Did you know that more than 70% of immunity is linked to the gut?
That’s where the body decides whether to respond in a balanced way or to trigger inflammation and disease.
When the gut is healthy, pets have much stronger natural defences against viruses, bacteria, and even allergies.
But when balance is lost, immunity drops and problems begin to show up throughout the body.
On 30 October at 7pm (Adelaide Time, Australia) I’ll be diving deeper into this topic in my Inside the Gut Masterclass.
I’ll explain how natural nutrition, the microbiome, and gut balance are the foundation of strong immunity and a healthier, longer life.

Many pet parents believe gut health only shows up when there is diarrhoea or vomiting. But the truth is that the body speaks much earlier, in subtle signs that are often overlooked in daily life.

Some examples I often notice are:
🐾 Persistent bad breath
🐾 Changes in appetite or energy without clear reason
🐾 Skin or coat losing vitality
🐾 Recurring soft stools or mucus
🐾 Higher than usual anxiety

On their own, these signs do not always mean a serious problem, but when they repeat, they may indicate an imbalance in the gut. And the gut is far more than digestion. It absorbs nutrients, supports immunity, balances hormones, and even influences behaviour.

That is why on 30 October at 7pm (Adelaide Time) I will be hosting my new Masterclass Inside the Gut. An online session where I will explain how to identify these subtle signs and, more importantly, what to do to support pets’ wellbeing from the inside out.
Prevention is always the best path. And I want to show you how to begin.

With spring and warmer days, snakes are much more active. This increases the risk for dogs and cats, especially the curious ones. I know it sounds worrying, but the good news is that with prevention and awareness, we can keep our pets safe.

Here are the key points I always share with pet parents: 🐾 Avoid walking your pet in tall grass or bushy areas
🐾 Keep dogs on the lead in places where snakes may be around
🐾 Watch for signs such as sudden weakness, tremors, dilated pupils, or breathing difficulties
🐾 If you suspect a bite, go straight to the vet. Every minute matters.

Please share this message with other pet parents. The more people know, the safer our pets will be this season.
Knowledge saves lives. And if you have any questions about prevention or what to do in an emergency, I am here to guide you.

Today is National Cat & Dog Gut Health Awareness Day 🐾
A reminder that gut health is not just about digestion. It impacts immunity, energy, skin, behaviour, and even the longevity of our pets.
A balanced gut means less silent inflammation, more vitality, and a better quality of life. And the best part is that much of this health is in our hands through nutrition, prevention, and proper guidance.
That is why this October I will be hosting my Masterclass on Gut Health in Pets. It will be online and full of practical tips for those who truly want to understand how to take care of their pets’ second brain.
Observing, preventing, and acting early makes all the difference in our pets’ lives.

Spring brings life, colour and joy… but for our pets, it also brings a few challenges.

💡 5 tips for this season:

Allergies – Watch for itching, licking and skin irritation. Small changes in diet and environment can help a lot.

Fleas & ticks: Warmer weather increases their activity. Keep prevention up to date with safe, natural options when possible.

Toxic plants: Lilies, Azaleas, Calla lilies and Dieffenbachia can be dangerous for dogs and cats. Keep them out of reach.

Fresh water & shade: Walks should be shorter in hot hours, with water always available.

Fresh, balanced nutrition: Support the immune system with natural, nutrient-rich food.

Spring is the perfect time to bring more health and wellbeing to your pet’s life. If you want to learn how fresh food can make a difference, let’s talk.

Warm regards,
Dr Giuliano

While today is known as National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, I’d like to shift this reminder into something bigger: true feline care, at home, where your cat feels safe.
Cats are experts at hiding discomfort.
That’s why preventive check-ups matter so much: they help us catch the subtle signs before they turn into something bigger.
But health isn’t only about appointments.
It’s also about how your cat eats, the environment they live in, and the connection you build together.
Have you ever thought of offering a more natural, biologically-appropriate diet for your cat?
They benefit deeply from fresh, balanced nutrition, free from ultra-processed ingredients.
Let today be a reason to look at your cat with more attention, love and intention.
If you’d like to understand feline nutrition or book a health check, I’m here to help 🐾
Warm regards,
Dr Giuliano 🐱

Why We Do This

After spending my childhood with a vet father, then working in the small animal veterinary field for about 19 years, I came to the conclusion that a great number of clients have somehow difficulties in transporting their pets to and from a veterinary practice. This seemed be related to time management in this busy world we live in nowadays, physical limitations in lifting a heavy aged dog into a car, or a vet scared dog or cat, and so on.

Those thoughts kept clicking in my mind inviting myself to find a solution to help people out. The idea came and it sounded very simple. By reversing the directions of this transportation, client would not have to struggle with any particular limitation. Instead, the vet would move to the client’s preferred address!!! That was it, a mobile veterinary services.

Since March 2019, DrG Mobile Vet has been assisting so many people by delivering veterinary care to client’s home or work address. The human and animal bond has been strengthened by reducing stress and anxiety generated with transportation to and from veterinary practice visits.
