Retired sound. Arrived in terrific order from owner who also bred him.
Has settled in here very well. Will be available mid November following assessment and training period.

Toffee has all the makings of an eventer. Great correct type, good paces with a very good canter. He is already starting to collect and "sit" and use his hind end well. Good brain, and willing to please.
We have started jumping and he works things out quickly. Lots of scope and is careful with his back end.

We have hacked Toffee out in the farm, he has schooled XC fences at home and out at local pony club where he went through the water and popped over fences up to 95.

Recently attended PC rally and took part in a flat lesson and a trail ride with 15 ponies through the bush. Will be available when we think he is ready.
Does have some manageable quirks, so we want to fully understand and work with this before he goes to his next home.

Toffee is very loved by his owners, and is lucky that he has a safety net with them and will always have a retirement paddock if needed. His owners were happy to have him retire with them after all the joy he gave them, however they think he is bored and still has a lot to offer, and we agree!

On Saturday at Equitana we had an Education session lead by RV ambassador Amanda Ross with myself, Whitney Hurst & Jessica Lee on the re trainer panel.

Undoubtedly lots of challenges been thrown about the last twelve months, however I’m so pleased to see some great programs & positive things happening in this space. And we are seeing this at industry level, through to breeders, trainers, owners & syndication groups.

I do really believe in the work we all do in the post racing sector, and it was brilliant to share this with these pretty awesome women.

Lots of good discussions & plenty of great questions from the audience!
So good to sit down and talk about the work we do, and our shared passion in the thoroughbred.

Is a kind mare who is good to do everything with. Can be a bit “busy” on the ground however nothing much.
Is learning the basics on the flat on shows a good work ethic, and a trainable and kind nature.
We will continue to update her album as we work with her.

Donald & I tackled our first 1* together at Candlebark on the weekend. I LOVE this event as it’s my old pony club, but it was extra exciting as W***y designed his first 2* AND had all officials, designers and TDs from across the country for a seminar to assess - yep - the 1* track.
So my only job was to jump it and not fall off in said track.
I fell off.
However, Donald had his very brave pants on and gave a brilliant ride, even jumping straight into the water right up until a miscommunication and I fell off AFTER the ditch brush… three fences from home 🤦‍♀️
He also show jumped jumped clear around his first 1.05

The courses looked amazing and had been brilliantly dressed. Big thanks to Meg and all the team involved for the tireless work.

Captain Hedderwick won $126,000 from 42 starts with six wins and thirteen places. He was trained by Sharlene & Gary Clarke in Darwin, and now he is with Hayley who is doing a brilliant job with him.

These photos from 7/ Nov. she has had six weeks work and is coming along really well.
Very pretty with unusual color with grey/ roan. We would love to see this girl in the show ring!

Her trainer said when racehorse she was always incredibly quiet, just not competitive.

Are you looking for a “blank canvas?”

We have eight young thoroughbreds looking for their new homes. They are growing into nice horses, definitely some diamonds in the rough!

These horses are unique as they arrived to us unhandled in May this year.
All are now well handled, hard tie, lead, have had gear on, mouthed and driven. Two have been professionally started under saddle.

We have five fillies 2-3yo and three geldings 2-4yo. Measured from 14.3-16h.

While they are unable to be stud book registered due to the nature of their breeding situation, we know there are some great bloodlines. We have had many mares from this herd, as well as two of the stallions also through our doors. Bloodlines including Snitzel, Zabeel, Fastnet rock, Polanski, Street cry, Redoute’s choice, Manhatten rain, High Chaparral, Toronado.

We are careful finding suitable homes for all
of our horses, and these are no exception. They will need to go to someone capable with young/ green horses

PLEASE Help us find Pingu his person!

This 10yo gelding has come to us on behalf of his owners. He was a successful racehorse winning $76k from 42 starts.
He races as Everywhere Mann and is by Gods own.
He measures tall at just under 17h however he doesn’t ride big, and will fit in standard float.
He has a beautiful kind nature, and is very easy to have around. No fuss, doesn’t get attached.

Things Pingu exceeds at
🔹 Standing well to be mounted
🔹 Trail riding
🔹 Being a cool dude after time off
🔹 Carrying tarps, obstacle / handy mount stuff
🔹 Cantering on the left lead
🔹 Working in arena with loose contact
🔹 Wearing his fitted saddle
🔹 Being ridden ba****ck
🔹 Popping over small jumps

Things we think are not really Pingus cup of tea (or coffee as his brand is a coffee cup!)
🔹 Cantering on the right lead
🔹 Being a performance horse
🔹 Dressage tests
🔹 Being ridden with firm contact

Pingu is an absolute gentleman and has been a delight to work with. He is very kind and sensible. With his past owner he has attended clinics/ lessons, been ridden out and been to SJ lessons, where he always was very easy to do things with.

We feel Pingu is most suited to someone looking for a safe, genuine and quiet horse to partner with.
We have jumped him & believe to jump he requires a rider with soft hands and balance, and probably a rider with more experience than Pingu has talent.
He doesn't ride huge as his is quite compact. He prefers to pick up the left canter lead than the right. His owners have done extensive work with vets to make sure he is sound and happy.

Quiet around busy farm, machinery, dogs, kids, bikes, cattle etc. Good on his own or with company. We have hacked him out by himself. Not spooky.

Pingu is up to date with everything, shod all round, in work and ready to go. He has a high wither and is most suited to Kent and Masters (or similar) saddle. He has one fitted to him that can go with him, also his rugs and bridle with NS turtle top egg but.

Davey has come back into work after some time off which has bedn beneficial to him. So we are looking for a suitable person to be his next human.
Davey likes a rider who can hold his hand and support him - not going to suit a nervous/ novice/ inexperienced rider as he is sharp. No dirt, no pigroor, buck, rear etc he is just forward.

Lovely gelding. Retired sound and has arrived to us in top order & settled in quickly, sensible.
Moves well. Clean legs, good in the wind. Extremely athletic. Have free schooled and is clever, careful with a very good back end over a fence.

Arrived to us August 7th from Baxter Racing Darwin.
Retired sound just wasn’t coping with the Darwin climate.
A serious horse with all the things in his side, soundness, age, type etc.
A very nice horse who requires a rider capable with off the track horses. He is athletic and sharp. A proper horse. No for nervous/ novice/ or returning to riding.

Currently shod all round, we think hooves will benefit if kept shod for at least the next few months. Thank you to Beyond Racing Off The Track for supporting his transition.
