A few beautiful memories as a tribute to the wonderful Ben Smith. A man that I owe a lot to, in respect to my riding and the person I am today. I am so thankful I made the change back to eventing this year and formed many more special memories on top of the ones we already had. Thank you for being like a grandfather to me. Here’s to walking xc courses with you looking down on me 🤍🕊️

XC masterclass with Lucinda Green

Ari and I had a great time at the Lucinda Green clinic in Harden! I felt huge improvements throughout the lessons, and it was great to kick my butt back into gear after my return to eventing. I really value that Lucinda prioritises horse and rider safety in eventing, this is something I have always been passionate about.

At each clinic Lucinda gifts two prizes, one to the most inspirational rider, and one to the horse with the most international potential. Ari was lucky enough to be chosen by Lucinda as the horse with the most international potential. A big thank you to for their generous sponsorship of this prize! A massive thank you to Lucinda for the invaluable lessons and identifying the potential in Ari - she really is a special mare!

Lastly, I want to express a big thank you to Em Bowker for organising the clinic and to the wonderful Harden horse trials committee for putting so much time and effort into their venue. It has improved so much since I was last there in 2017 when Girl With A Curl (Molly) and I won the old 1*!

I am very fortunate to be supported by the wonderful Elka from Equine Performance and Wellbeing. Elka has treated all of my horses for many years and Ari since the day I bought her. Ari feels the best she ever has at the moment and I notice the difference every time Elka sees her. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do for my horses Elka.

Albury International Horse Trials

Fio competed in the EvA80 with this only being her second eventing start. She jumped double clear finishing on her dressage score to place 4th. A very good dressage horse turned show jumper turned eventer!

Ari exceeded my expectations in all 3 disciplines in the 1* after not a great lead up the last month. A sweet dressage test and a very confident but very slow 🐢 cross country round in one of the toughest 1*s I’ve done. Very proud of her considering she hasn’t had many eventing starts.

A big thank you to the organising committee and the lovely people I have supporting me.

Four very good ponies today at the ACTSJ club comp day 🦄🦄🦄🦄 A big thank you to the committee and volunteers for putting on a great day.

Ari jumped some nice rounds in the 1m and 1.10m picking up a 5th place in the 1.10m.

Fio popped around the 90cm and 1m clear just out of the placings. She was very keen to be back out jumping!

My own thoroughbred Cardi and Martina’s thoroughbred Akeed had their first competition and both produced sweet rounds in the cross rails. Cardi even picked up a 4th place ribbon.

I got to test out my friends new brand .sport and I loved it! The jacket was so comfortable and the breeches were very flattering. Thanks for letting me try them before they get released 💃

🔵CANBERRA HORSE TRIALS🔵

I have had to scratch my rides this year due to being unwell and my horses having inconsistent work in the lead up. It’s disappointing not to compete at my local, but there will always be another event to work towards!

I will still be attending as a Sponsor/Kate McKenzie slave/Vice President. I will be running an EvA80cm cross country course walk on FRIDAY @ 4:30PM for those who would like to walk the course with an experienced coach to gain a few tips. Parents and non competitors welcome! We will meet at the TRADE STANDS at 4:30PM then walk up to the start box together.

I have limited spots left for Saturday afternoon at Equestrian Park. I will also be at Equestrian Park on Sunday the 28th of July. This will be the last weekend I’m teaching there before the course closes in August to prepare for the upcoming event in September. PM to book a lesson 😊

Blackall Park Campari cruising around the 1* with no jumping faults at the NCHTA clear round day a couple of weekends ago. Looking forward to her first official 1* at Narrandera in a month’s time. A big shoutout to for standing in the cold all day ❄️
