o date with the latest techniques, skills and courses, Marianne holds a Certificate III in Companion Animal Services and a Certificate III in Pet Grooming. She has also been TAFE lecturer and grooming instructor at the Veterinary and Applied Science Center at Gilles Plains, performing this role from 2012 to 2019. She also took on the role of PIAA National Grooming Director for 3 years from 2016-2019. Marianne has previously travelled the country running grooming competitions with the PIAA, attending events such as the Royal Sydney Show and Perth Pet Expo. Her current events include the Royal Adelaide Show Grooming Competition, Groom-it SA and Groom Adelaide run in conjunction with the Adelaide Animal Expo. Marianne also runs a grooming training centre, through Heiniger Academy RTO 40888. This teaches the practical components of the Certificate III in Animal Care Studies (Pet Grooming). Specialising in a more personal and professional service, understanding that your pets are a part of the family and should be treated with respect and care. The salon environment is set up to be more of a home than a commercial salon, reducing stress and bringing comfort to your pet. Using professional products only available in salons such as Melanie Newman Salon Essentials, Progrooom/Heiniger, Petway, and Secret Weapon, you can be certain your pet will be well cared for and come out smelling divine! Medicated washes under veterinary direction are also available with Malaseb, Pyohex or your prescribed treatment shampoo. Procedures include hand washing or hydro-bathing using fresh warm water for every pet, drying methods to suit the individual including heated towels in winter and happy hoodies for your pets' protection, there is no cage drying or forceful grooming with Marianne. Using only high-quality veterinary disinfectants and procedures, you can be guaranteed a clean, safe and sanitary environment when visiting the salon. Marianne is capable of grooming small to medium sized breed dogs and all breeds of cats. Large dogs are subject to a meet and greet, grooming history check and behaviour assessments.
