Huge congratulations to Fiona Dowling and Northernfell Crash (Tch OGrCh Nordenstamm Udo UDX, MR1 x Nordenstamm Cougar CD, RN, SW1, MR1) on attaining their BH title! So proud of Fiona and what she has accomplished despite dealing with a cancer diagnosis that interrupted her training goals. Can't wait to see what this incredible team achieves next year!

Northernfell Eclipse aka Wally. I bottle raised him after his mother rejected him and he would go to sleep in my arms sucking on my finger. At 5 mths he still sometimes likes to suck on one of his toys as he goes to sleep. Puppy love ❤️

RIP Inca. The mother of Northernfell D Litter gone way too soon. Condolences to Hannah Wilson. She produced one fabulous litter and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. ❤️

Another outing with the amazing Wally (Northernfell Eclipse). This time we had lunch at Hemingway’s Brewery Cairns with Jodie Coldwell and Sarah Hill-Murray. Wally got to catch up with sister Skye (Northernfell Ember Skye) for a big play and then to practice our 'cafe and pub manners'. Great food, great company, awesome pups!

Maddox - Mephisto Des Feux De L'Espoir (IMP France) IGP3. Super high drive dog imported from France. All french ring blood lines. He has solid nerve and plenty of power in his work. He has a super off switch that makes him easy to live with. He qualified for the FMBB World championships in 2020. He has already produced many dogs that are actively working for government departments. He has produced dogs with solid bone and his temperament. He reproduces himself in in the way of colour as he has a strong red pigment with much black throughout the body. He is Spondy free. HD: A1, ED-Grad: Free.

Scout – Ch Northernfell Cleopatra AI (TCh OGr Ch Nordenstamm Udo UDX MR1 x Nordenstamm Cougar CD RN SWN MR1) is a beautiful bitch with super solid nerves and high trainability that has inherited the best traits from both of her parents! She is from one of only 2 litters produced in Australia where both parents have been titled in Mondioring in Australia as well as ANKC obedience. Scout gained her champion title in the showring at only 18mths of age and during Covid started on a career as a classroom support dog with her owner/teacher and this year will continue on that path, officially working towards accreditation in this area while training in ANKC dog sports.

Both dogs have such strong nerves and easy going natures that their offspring will suit any training discipline!

Northernfell D Litter has arrived! Inca has whelped 9 puppies, 5 males and 4 females. Mother and puppies are doing well and already showing beautiful dark colours inherited from both parents. There are still some males and females available.

I've had some potential puppy buyers tell me they've been told by trainers or breeders that you can't have a Malinois in a house with kids or other dogs or any other animal. To that I say 'rubbish!'

I've also been told that if you don't want your house destroyed then you have to get a showline dog. To that I say 'rubbish!'.

If you buy a puppy from a reputable breeder who has good lines you will have a dog that you can compete with or just have as a companion. Your dog will have an 'off switch' and your dog will be sociable with good nerves.

Northernfell D Litter is not far away now. Inca is due in about a week. I'm really looking forward to see what this cross produces. Both parents are extremely stable and confident dogs with strikingly good looks. Puppies are starting to sell.

Northernfell D Litter confirmed for early August 2022!

Northernfell Crash (Tch OGrCh Nordenstamm Udo UDX MR1 x Nordenstamm Cougar CD RN SWN MR1) is a substantial young male with extremely solid nerves and strong grips. He has very high drives for food and play and is currently in training for IGP in Australia. Crash is sociable with dogs and all manner of other animals. Crash is from a very special breeding, one of only 2 litters in Australia with both parents being titled in both ANKC obedience and Mondioring!
Haustralis Buena Vista (Imp NZ) aka Inca (Eiramwood Baxs NZ x Aska Carbon Copy NZ) is a very striking young bitch with very dark colours and extremely stong nerves, calm nature and very high drives for both food and play. She has good strong grips and is very sociable with dogs and people. Inca is currently working with Dog Direction Training and Services as a demo dog and as a 'stable' dog with the training and socialisation of other dogs in group activities.
Both of these dogs have such strong nerves and easy going natures that their offspring will suit any training discipline!

Well it wouldn't be a true FNQ dog trial without torrential horizontal rain for hours and hours but well done to Nordenstamm Cougar aka The Queen of the North, The Mother of Madness. She gained a Scent Work Novice Title SWN at the first scent work trial in the Far North last weekend. It took 3 elements before she settled down and stopped looking for a decoy to bite but gained 7 out of a possible 8 quals with 2 first places and 1 third place with her fastest time of 7.8 seconds!

Indy has sired 2 litters. Northernfell A Litter and Northernfell C Litter but he only has 2 sons. This is Northernfell Apollo - better known as Rafa. An amazing dog. Check him out and the fantastic work done by Ryan Tate.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful boy Indy. Tch OGrCh Nordenstamm Udo UDX MR1 is 9yrs old today. He was my first Malinois and a huge learning curve for me and such a super star!
Trying to list all his achievements is hard to remember but here are most of them:
Australian Tracking Champion at 18ths.
CCD to UD in one six month trial season.
First dog in Nth Qld to win a Golden Dumbell
First dog in Nth Qld to win an Australian Obedience Champion Title under the new ANKC rules.
First dog in Nth Qld to win the Vikings Muzzles Qld Open Dog of The Year Title
First dog in Nth Qld to gain a UDX Title.
First dog in Nth Qld to gain an Australian National Obedience Title in UD and 2nd place in UDX at the Australian National Obedience Trials.
First and only dog in Nth Qld to gain an Australian Obedience Grand Champion Title.
All of the above was achieved by the age of 4 years.
First and ONLY dog in Australia to have Champion Titles under ANKC and also Mondioring Level 1 Title.
Indy has also sired 2 litters.
Northernfell A Litter and Northernfell C Litter.
Indy was also a very important part of my business, Vanguard K9 Training Services and most recently a vital part of The Far North Qld Sport Dog Club where has been used to help train our decoys.....and may or may not have put one decoy in hospital for 2 days (decoy error) lol. Indy has always been a gentleman with most people but if he didn't like you he let you know...as one unfortunate truck driver found out at my place when Indy thought he was being 'overly friendly' towards me lol (long story). But once he liked you, you were subjected to the 'Indy nut cracker greeting' as I like to call it. Absolutely hilarious to watch....unless you are a guy, hey Bart lol.
