Please help if you can, I’d love to take him in but I work full time and Piper is reactive towards other dogs 😢.

SEEKING A SPECIAL FOSTER CARER

Khalil came to us from a pound a couple of months ago and it was immediately clear something wasn’t quite right with him as he was constantly regurgitating his food. Our vet has since diagnosed him with Megaesophagus (ME) and his condition has improved significantly with the right diet and management however his current carer is nearing the end of her pregnancy and we desperately need to find a foster carer for him!

We are ideally seeking an ME experienced foster carer who can see Khalil through to his adoption (whenever that may be). He will need a couple of weeks to settle in and to make sure everything is okay before he can be advertised. Non-ME experienced carers will also be considered if you are able to meet the below needs.

Ideally you would be home during the day as he needs his food broken up over 4 small meals and fed in an elevated position. He does not use a bailey chair at the moment. He is dog friendly but may do better in an only pet home as his constant want to play with other dogs is causing some issues with keeping his food down.

He is a medium staffy mix, about 22kg. A really lovely dog.
