Another photo of my beautiful friend & fellow breeder, Josephine Romeo with Paisley Print and a couple of videos of the sisters together at the show š

What a weekend! We drove over to Sydney for the ACF Nationals and experienced more than just being evacuated from our accommodation due to the floods.
We took two babies from our last litter. Bedheadz Paisley Print, who will now be going to live with her new mum & my dear friend Sharon and Bedheadz Magic Mushroom.
We also took Poppy.
The results with the babies blew our minds! Due to them being very little babies & it being their first show, they were really only along for the ride.
Bedheadz Paisley Print had me crying with joy! Best Devon Rex kitten and then Reserve Kitten in Group (73 entered) under the FIFE Judge from Sweden (where the Devon Rex are some of the best in the world). āHead to die forā she kept repeating š„°
Didnāt stop there though.
Best Devon Rex Kitten & 5th Best in Group under the American Judge and then Best Devon Rex Kitten & 11th in Group under Barbara La Rocca from QLD.
Her sister, Mushy didnāt do quite so well but winning two Reserve Devon Rex Kitten awards made us very happy as not all of the Judges put up a reserve.
Poppy was overwhelmed with it all & hated the speaker that was set up right behind her š¤¬ and at one stage became a literal shivering mess, but she still placed in Group in all 6 rings š
We caught up with old breeder friends and finally put faces to names which was the added bonus for the weekend ā¤ļø

Typically my day got a little busy & I havenāt had time to (try to) take better photos but here are two of the babies.
They are my Leap Year kittens born on Feb 29. They will be ready for their new families in 4-5 weeks. Theyāve had their 1st vaccinations & been microchipped but will need to have their 2nd vaccination and be des*xed before they leave us.
Our kittens go to their new homes with everything they need to transition easily - Royal Canin dry food & cans, cat litter, cat carrier and lots of toys are just some of whatās in their suitcase. Youāll also get a years membership to Rex Cat Fanciers of SA.
They are also registered & come with a pedigree from GCCFSA. Both babies are stunning in real life ā¤ļø my photography is terrible.

Iāll post photos later today š¢ of two that will be looking for their purrfect, furrever homes.

Choc Tortie Tabby & White girl - Adopted
We are so very excited to show off Rain & Peppers first litter of babies.
These little bubbas turned 8 weeks on Friday.
They wonāt be ready to go to their new forever families until they are 12-14 weeks old as they need to be over 1kg to be des*xed.
They will come des*xed, microchipped, vaccinated and registered with GCCFSA.
They also will have their own cat carrier, toys, food that we feed & cat litter that we use. This will all help with their transition into their new home.
These babies will be registered under our Bedheadz prefix.
I will add their s*x & colour in comments under each photo.
Please message your EOI in adopting one (or more) of these kittens. We do not take deposits until they are 10 weeks of age.

If youāre wondering why youāve been tagged in a comment here, only to find itās gone, Iāve blocked him. He is a scammer š”that advertises non-existent kittens on a Devon Rex page.

Well, Greg & I went to the Adelaide Cat Club Show yesterday. We didnāt take any Devonās as the kittens we have kept from our last litter had only just had their last vaccinations.
We did take our two rescue moggies though. It was their first show & we were so proud of how they handled it all š
Little Fern was up against her āsisterā so missed out on any wins but she is still a winner in our eyes. Poppy did so well! Yes, thatās her cage full of ribbons & covered in her prizes. She then took out Supreme Group 5 & 6 Exhibit!!
Special thanks to Leonie Smith & Deb Hall for their much appreciated help š„°

Soā¦ You want a Devon Rex??!
Iām trying so to write this with a Devon under my arm š¤Ø.
Microwaves were invented to thaw food away from a Devon, cook AND store prior to refrigeration.
Yep, thatās our stud boy eating leftovers for our chooks!
Devon Rex do NOT think they are cats!!! ā¤ļø

Well, after my stress this morning, we are finally home. Iām a bit proud of our boy!
Best Devon Rex Kitten & 9th Best in Group under Michelle Magrath (NZ).

Alright, Iāll admit it before I get told, Iām an idiot! Weāre on our way to a cat show today, but thatās not what has made me silly š
I wanted Saffronās feet whiter, so I bathed him this morning šāāļø His beautiful Devon coat now looks like a Cornish coat! š„ŗ

Evash Devon Rex Cattery was first established in 1992.
My first Devon Rex was a show neuter I bought from Anita & Peter Quinlivan in 1990. āGDGPR Anpurr Boutiqueā aka Tiki had me totally sucked in!
My first stud boy SDGCH Anpurr Sirtiffycat also came from the Quinlivans. I was truly gifted to be trusted with this boy who had a beautiful English pedigree. I could trace back to Kirlee within 7 generations!
My first breeding girl came from Bambi Edwards, Bajimbi Pixie Katie. Katie was the first bi-colour in SA.
For 22 years I bred & showed my beautiful Devonās, before taking a break for about 10 years. During that time I bred or owned many, many GCCFSA DEVON REX ENTIRE OF THE YEAR, GCCFSA DEVON REX NEUTER OF THE YEAR and the one we all want - GCCFSA GROUP 3 BREEDER OF THE YEAR 2002, 2003 & 2004.
My cats did very well at shows interstate too.
Nowā¦
Sadly I donāt have any of my old lines left. They are still out there and behind some of the beautiful Devonās you see today but with excitement, I am starting again.
I have a darling future stud from another of the āoldā breeders, Josephine Romeo. Josephine has trusted me with this darling little man Crinklewood Ginger Megs.
I always loved her Devonās and to be able to have a stud from her has been a long-wanted event! With his Polish import pedigree, Iām sure Iām starting off very well ā¤ļø
My two breeding girls have come from a very dear friend. Another āoldā breeder, who like me, took a bit of time away from the cat scene and sheās the reason Iām back.
Deb Hall (Rabeskah Devon Rex) has helped to kick start my breeding with a beautiful girl she bred and another girl with Ukrainian & US lines š
I feel like Iām a winner already! Cats from two breeders I fully respect and adore.
My breeding motto hasnāt changed:
Quality NOT Quantity but my breeding cats have always and always will be, pets first. I will not have a high turnover of breeding cats.
