Some nice frillies already won by our lot for 2024 ❤️❤️

We’re back at the shows and getting in to the swing of it already with back to back weekends. Some lovely wins to start off our show season!

Rico, Ch Emzacily Explosives Technician, bringing home all 4 x Best Intermediate in Show’s on offer.

Eevee, Swinabie Naughty Little Rumour, is still getting the hang of it but cracked her first Best Exhibit in Group win and topped that off with a Best Puppy in Show win.

And the bubba Venus, Vonhalla Venus, racked up 3 x Best Minor Puppy in Show’s. Such a happy little pumpkin, our little big dog 🥰

Our gorgeous Rico, Ch Emzacily Explosives Technician, finished out his 2023 show season with another BEST NT BRED IN SHOW win. Bringing his final tally for the year to 18 class in show wins, bloody good effort from only 34 shows!!

He was absolutely on point on Saturday night and I was so happy with how he performed.

Little Eevee, Swinabie Naughty Little Rumour, had her first run with the big kids now out of baby puppy. She stood so well in the lineup and came home with a puppy in group frilly.

Big thanks to Maree for her disco diva outfit. We absolutely LOVE it 🥰

Showing dogs isn’t always about the wins and the ribbons ❤️ As a breeder there’s highs and lows, and I’m always grateful for the beautiful friends I’ve made in this hobby.

Alice Springs turned on beautiful weather for July and it’s always good to get away for a quick break. Rico picked up his second RUNNER UP BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW for the year. The high of winning with a young homebred dog is bloody hard to beat!

Our gorgeous little Eevee made her show ring debut last weekend and strutted around like a total champ. She is cute as a button and knows it!

Zuri has been holidaying with us for show circuit and has had some lovely wins, racking up another 4 BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP wins over the 2 weekends.

I was given a beautiful orchid by Tanya for showing her naughty little Soda. A lovely thank you gift, and I have no doubt she’d be doing the same for me if it was in reverse and I needed a baby shown ❤️

And then breeding REALLY sucks sometimes! Sadly Ava lost her litter last week and the subsequent surgery didn’t quite go to plan but she’s on the mend now and we’re grateful to Suzannah our vet for looking after her so well. She’s being loved on by everyone here while she deals with her loss.

And never to be forgotten a big hug (a virtual hug cos she knows how much I don’t do hugs) to Maree, your check-ins have been very much appreciated while we’ve had such a rough week ###

It’s been a very exciting week here. After a VERY long wait our newest little family member finally arrived 🥰

We welcomed Eevee to our home and she is absolutely devine! The sweetest little snuggler who I have compared to a grasshopper on crack every day since she arrived! We are totally smitten with her sassy little attitude and that little face that just melts us ❤️

We are super excited to announce we have puppies on the way ❤️❤️ And it’s a very exciting litter indeed!!

Dam is none other than our stunning Ava, Sup Ch Inselstaat Van Ish (AI) who needs no introduction! Multi Best in Show, Multi Runner Up in Show, winning Best of Breed every year she competed at Darwin Royal Show! And she’s the mother to Multi Best in Show winning dogs to boot 😉

Sire is our up and coming young man Rico, Ch Emzacily Explosives Technician, who has proven he has what it takes with a Best in Show and Runner Up in show already to his name!

We will be in touch with everyone already on our wait list shortly with more details.

Absolutely stoked with our young man. He tested my handling skills all night and had a fat time doing it 😂

We often get asked in puppy enquiries if our dogs are hip and elbow x-rayed/scored but very rarely what the scores actually are. This is such an important part of our breed’s health screening and as a prospective puppy purchaser the score itself is a very important thing to know about.

I’ve included below a few links to some helpful info on the scoring system used in Australia and what those scores mean.

Sadly Dogs Australia has no cut-off’s in place for these results, however the National Rottweiler Council Australia does have a limit of a combined total of 20 for hip scores on a breeding pair. Our personal cut-off point for hips also takes in to consideration what areas that score is from, something we strongly believe all responsible breeders should be carefully considering.

Currently there is no limitations on breeding regarding elbow scores. Do not be fooled in to thinking this is because it’s not as important, it is very much the opposite! Unfortunately there are very limited options available to “fix” elbow dysplasia in dogs so prevention is far better than life-long pain management! The AVA recommendation is to only breed with Grade 0, Grade 1 with caution, and never from Grade 2 or 3.

And he does it again, back to back BEST NT BRED IN SHOW wins.

Our gorgeous Rico, Ch Emzacily Explosives Technician, racked up his 10th Class in Show win for the year last night!! Not a bad effort at all from the 14 shows he’s attended.

Am so bloody proud to be campaigning such a special home bred boy!!

Just a few more frillies to add to his collection!

Quick trip to Alice Springs over the weekend for their cluster of 4 shows. Beautiful weather, lovely atmosphere, and a weekend away with the dogs was just what I needed!

Traveled light and only Rico, Ch Emzacily Explosives Technician, came for the drive with me. Of course he LOVED the cooler weather and after a rather spirited and bouncy first show he settled down and showed well. Some lovely comments from the judges on our young man 🥰

But the happy dance didn’t stop at that…

Raven, Emzacily EveryonesRavenBoucher, can now add Champion to her name!!

Darwin turned on typical Darwin weather and it was next level humid and hot. But our babies still stepped up and showed their butts off for me.

And never to be forgotten, a huge thank you to Cheryl Jones, Moccarott Rottweilers, for allowing me to use Bam for this litter. A lot of maturing to do still but very happy with my babies.
