My little mudrunner at Hawkesbury Dressage 😂 Yuk worst arena conditions I’ve ever ridden on! And apparently only a 5.5 for Impulsion (and pretty much the entire test) from one judge 🤔 🤷‍♀️😡 🧐😢
Sunny was a legend anyway against an amazingly talented field of professionals… The quality of warmbloods in my class was just WOW! 🤩

Videoing your training/competition is such a great way to improve!
Putting my judges hat on… Couple of little mistakes… got stuck in first turn on haunches, tossed head in down trans. from extended canter (too handsy), dropping poll & a little behind the contact at times. More suppleness to the right.
Back to the arena with the Pivo .…🙂

Great first comp of the year with my 6yo Iberian gelding Soleado (Sunny) 👏
65.3% in the Med 4.2 & 66.6% in the WEQ Deb F . (with a course error 🤦‍♀️) Still room for improvement with better riding 🙂 He really tries so hard for me, so happy with this little pocket rocket 💕

I finally decided to finish my equestrian coaching accreditation 🤗
I am Officially an EA Introductory horseriding coach! Thanks to the fabulous coach educators; Christine Johnson, Colleen Brooke & Lynne Lynch. 👏 Also partway through my Level 1 Dressage coaching cert.
Available for lessons in the Hawkesbury & surrounds. Beginners welcome-beginner/novice children’s pony or small horse can be provided. 🙂
My background:
I have Official Dressage competition experience up to Advanced, Young Horse CDI, State & Nationals. Was also an accredited Novice Level judge for 4 years (until recently). I have started all my own horses under saddle (and a few others) since I was 16 (30yrs) and am happy to ride students horses/ponies if desired. (no crazies though lol) I also rode trackwork for quite a few years in my youth.
My own horses have always been given a well rounded education-cross training including trails, poles, low jumping, Working Equitation obstacles, ba****ck, galloping, long reining. I enjoy working with young/green horses & riders, and have a passion for dressage with empathy. I love dabbling with bitless/ba****ck dressage and have a soft spot for baroque breeds. 🦄
I really enjoy coaching and seeing riders/horses progress to the best of their abilities, but most importantly-enjoying their horses and the partnership that develops. 💕

Sunny ba****ck & bitless, pretty happy with that effort 🥰 Never thought he’d go bitless at all tbh. (we did start in the roundyard first)
Always intersting to see what happens when you take away saddle, bridle, whip, spurs. Can we still perform the movements that we have trained?
The changes were a bit blah without having backup for my leg aid, lol he managed and few lazy 3s & two 2s, but pretty much said no thanks to any more 😂
Love playing around with this stuff…

Found this old video of me and Fonzie training bitless & ba****ck- it’s a bit long and not great quality but such great memories… First horse I ever trained to that level, piaffe, passage, pirouettes, flys etc
