My fellow groomer from the Rutherford area shared this - it’s so relevant and wanted to also share with my clients too

I’m in agreement with Steph and the Rutherford Dash - if at any point I feel there’s aggressive behaviour I also will stop the groom.

Please please be open and honest with me about your dogs behaviour

📣Let's talk aggression!📣

Due to recent events, I feel it’s time to touch base with everyone about the importance of transparency between owners and groomers (or anyone your dog comes into contact with) regarding aggressive behaviors.

Please, if your dog is known to snap or bite, let your groomer know. By sharing this information, we can take precautions to safely groom your animal or advise you on a better option for your pet.

As a groomer, I will ALWAYS inform a customer if their dog displays aggressive behavior. I do this not to shame you as an owner, but to provide you with the knowledge to take precautions in the future.

‼️And most importantly‼️—let's be clear: size does not define aggression; behaviors do. Little dogs can be just as aggressive as big dogs. It's time to realize that these behaviors aren't "naughty" behaviors; they are, in fact, aggressive behaviors.

A little bite may not be as damaging, but it can still lead to hospital visits, time off work, and jobs lost.

Moving forward I want to be very clear - if I feel at ANY stage of the groom that it is unsafe to proceed, I have the right to stop and return the dog to you. Although this job comes with the risk of dog biting - I have the right to feel safe and will not be putting my body on the line. There are other options out there for grooming that will be safer for myself and your dog.

Thank you for taking the time to read, I would also love if we could share this to reach as many people as possible. It may save another groomer from experiencing this.

A big welcome to new Dash DogWasher Wayne, who has stepped into Paula’s shoes at Dash Dash DogWash. Wayne is great, and has grown up around animals his entire life, leading him to our doors. He is so excited to meet all of Paula’s regular clients and, no doubt, bring some new fur babies on board. Paula, we wish you all the best as you head North. IM COMING BACK!!
As my maternity leave begins to come to an end I am planning what my return to work looks like and what days / times I can offer everyone.

At this time it is Wednesday - Friday only while I settle back into work as a mum with a young family.

Given that I’ll be returning to shorter days than previously offered -
Wednesday (1030-4)- Cessnock, Nulkaba, Pokolbin/The Vintage
Friday (8-4)- Greta, Branxton, North/ Rothbury
(Subject to change)

I would love to have your puppas onboard Dash Dogwash. Please let me know if you would like to return with me-now taking bookings from September.

Please let me know what schedule you’d ideally like - weekly, fortnightly, monthly, six weekly etc, preferred day/time and if there has been any changes (address, dogs in the house, medical issues etc) Please be aware I require access to power, water and ample on street parking.

UPDATE!
RETURN STILL APPROXIMATELY END OF AUGUST!

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to provide an update as to my planned return to being back on the road.

At this time my plans haven’t really changed and I’m still thinking of returning late August this year to pamper all your beautiful pooches.

There will be some changes coming such as days and times for appointments (as I juggle day care for my littlest love), some updated policies and a price rise.

I will be popping back on a little prior to my return date to open my books again so please continue to watch this space….

Hi All!

With 2023 slowly coming to an end I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of my Dash DogWash Cessnock community.

I have loved seeing all the pups grow and mature over 2023 and look forward to seeing you all in 2024.

I am closed over the holiday season
*Saturday 23rd December 2023
until our return on
*Tuesday 2nd January 2024 (tomorrow- Friday is my last day)
I do have a bonus wash day on 30/12 so I’ll be around on that day to some very lucky peeps and pups.

During this closure time there will be limited phone calls, text messages, emails, or any enquiries answered.
If you do wish to leave a message I will do my best to get in contact once I'm in full swing again.

🤰Just a reminder I am still working in Jan and Feb with my maternity leave starting on 2nd March.

ITS CHRISTMAS WEEK!

Can you believe it! This year has flown ….

This week will be a very busy one for me and I kindly ask that you assist in ensuring a smooth arrival so I can get around to everyone this week.

Could you please -
🎄 Make sure parking out front is available- Christmas means more visitors and more cars in the street. If you can please help me so I can park in front of your house and access utilities this will be a great help

🎄 Sorry no kids around the trailer or playing in the front yard (for clips). Your puppas get so excited to see you and your children and can’t concentrate on the fantastic work they usually do with me in the trailer. It becomes sadly a hazard as they want to jump around to see you.
I also kindly ask that no kids climb on my trailer as this is also a hazard.

🎄 Please double check your next bookings with me for early next year.

🎄 Most importantly to all my clients I don’t see this week have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see you all soon.
