The Happy Pet Place An interactive, family owned and operated pet store located in O'Connor.

We aim to provide an interactive experience, offer a diverse range of products for all your pet needs, friendly and knowledgable service with more than competitive prices. The Happy Pet Place is an approved adoption centre for Cat Haven, featuring a walk in cat enclosure so you can interact with kittens and cats before you adopt. In addition we have guinea pigs, bunnies, mice, rats, birds, hermit crabs and more in store.

The Happy Pet Place is seeking a full-time member to join the team, with the view of becoming the 2IC, reporting directly and working with the Store Manager to continue to grow the business. Ideally we are looking for:

- A person with strong retail and people management experience
- A person who loves pets and ideally has worked with them
- Reptile & aquarium knowledge is highly desirable
- Forklift ticket is highly desirable
- Warehousing experience is highly desirable
- A person who loves being busy, is able to be proactive & reactive, who is able to work both in a team & independently when required.
- A person who takes pride in their work, is goal focused & enjoys having input into policies, procedures, enjoys identifying areas which can be improved & be part of the team to implement change.

Your role will we be varied, and you will be responsible to assist with stock management & rotation, staff training, managing the warehouse & assisting to continue to grow and improve the store.

This is a busy hands-on role that can be physically demanding. You will need to be physically fit & prepared to roll up your sleeves to clean, serve customers, unpack stock and general merchandising when required.

You will need to be able to work either a Saturday or Sunday each week. (5-day week).

If you suffer from hay/grass /dust allergies - this job is NOT for you.
